  1. I saw an S2000 in the image. But with so many cars in the world, every year, every decade, there is bound to be comparisons. I like the design, but it's no standout either.
  2. Some of the Hallmark stuff is gone by Thanksgiving. That's why I was in there, because I buy my wife an Oz ornament each Christmas. Last year, they were sold out by November. So if this is something you may want for your Ecto-1 kit, don't put it off. Hallmark ornaments are popular. The Hallmark Harleys always go quick too.
  3. Saw this in a Hallmark holiday ornament store display. Great backdrop item for that Ghostbusters Caddy.
  4. Jeez, Crank, you freaked me out with that thread title! It sounds like Bill Hines passed on! Glad to hear he is alive and well!
  5. The REAL truck! One of the coolest trucks ever!
  6. Hollywood is really running low on any original thoughts... or plots.

Wow! I'm thinking possible "Best Paint" award at a model contest! The orange on the T-Bird, light reflection perhaps? Reflection on chrome.
  8. My first car, a '63 Nova
  9. I'll guess model.
  10. Nice! Dirty, but nice!
  11. Money is no object for the buyer... they won't care if it's never driven.
  12. What a great look! Those wheels stand out on a white car!
  13. That is real sharp!
  14. If you look at the body from the side, you should notice it is "arched", inc the side trim. I sanded off the trim, cut the body into 3 sections, and put it back together straight (see link for more pics: http://public.fotki....del_cars/mopar/) That... is about as far as I ever got. Not exactly "Under glass" either.
  15. I believe both Testors and Tamiya also sell window tint sprays. I had bad results with the one I tried. The idea with the tinted plastic sheet is you don’t tint your windows, you replace them. Use the original as a pattern. No spray, no dust. If Dahm’s Window Tint is still available, try it. This is an R/C product, very strong tint. Very strong adhesive too! Apply to the outside of your window. Down side is, not good for compound curves (for instance, a slight domed window)
  16. Ya got me there!
  17. While wondering the isles at my other favorite toy store (Home Depot), I found some material to make tinted windows for model cars. It’s a waffle patterned clear smoke tint panel about 4’ by 8’, and costs over $20. Best bet is to go in on it with about 3 other guys, and to cut it in quarter sections. There is just enough flat section in each “rib” for side and rear windows. I don’t think it is large enough for fastback windows; it’s not perfect. For standard coupes and sedans, it just may be the ticket.
  18. Boxart released by Revell:
  19. No magic formula here, it's a 50/50 shot. I guessed "real".
  20. You are too hard on yourself.... it looks great!
  21. I still feel the Big Box store did the best thing for the hobby by bailing on us several years ago. They had too much sway on what kits were to be issued, and reissued. Now, instead of listening to the high demands for the WalMart staff, the hobby grows because of what the adult hobbyist wants. Of course I will still look what WalFart is stocking, but I am more likely to come home with a Maisto Ford Interceptor Police that is made from plastic unobtainium.
  22. Always have to chuckle when I see a "rat rod" (because we don't all have the money for billit and shiney paint!") with wheels & tires that cost more than the car they're bolted to! But just one example...
  23. ??? Less exhaust plumbing means less weight? Plus easier to install, perhaps. Sorry, can't play the video here, audio = "disturbing the peace" w/ rest of family.
