  1. Does anyone know when the convertible version of the '52 Hudson Hornet will be available? An item order number also? Please, Moebius, both an up-top, and the convertible boot cover. Also consider wire wheels. Thanks!
  2. Was available a few years back from Hallmark... in 1/24 scale. Not perfect, but not bad either.
  3. I think that is your problem. I have a paid Fotki account. Works fine. Well, except for the one in a hundred photos they lose.
  4. Start buying 25+ years ago. It worked for me.
  5. Do not run it through the printer. Instead, print a master copy on quality photo paper. Take that, and the decal film to a good quality copy & print shop. Have them run the decal film through the machine as they copy your master print.
  6. Drill each hole, cut a piece of wire longer than needed (usually about 3") and use a SMALL dab of superglue; starting in the center with the coil wire. Once the wired dissy is glued in place, then each wire will be trimmed to proper length, and glued. Don't forget to all a dose of gravity to the finished wires... some sagging is natural.
  7. So I guess there is no reason for me to continue, even tho I have started making corrections. Or is there? With all due respect. I'm just trying to work on what I have seen.
  8. Now you show us! I just started making my alterations. It's all good tho... I will be moving the rear about 1/8" forward. That pic does show... all someone would need to do is re-scribe the back edge of the skirt closer to the rear. All minor quibbles now. And, it has been noted, this will be fixed on the next run. Do like this Hudson!
  9. Anyone find extra parts in the Hudson? Parts # 40 & #41, next to the 4 drum brake backing plates? Look like straps.
  10. Wha? What am I missing? You said you do have a '61 Ranchero... why not use that for the engine bay, and whatever else you need? As for the six, I know they are out there, can't think of what kit. Ken Kitchen has it in resin too.
  11. I suspect the plug wires you are using are too big in diameter. When adding plug wires, a #74 drill bit is about right. Making a convincing dissy from scratch is tough. I just drilled 7 holes on the Hudson 6 dissy, I had to do this looking through a magnifying glass / lamp... old eyes not what they used to be. Good luck, and keep at it.
  12. Here is a side shot of the model. Curious if anyone else sees a wheelbase too long? To fix it will require altering the frame, floorboards, leaf springs, shock mounts, and driveshaft.
  13. The easiest? Well that would be one I don't need to build! A tip of the hat to Danbury & Franklin Mints. Next easiest would be the pre-paints. Here is a '34 Ford from Revell...
  14. The wheelbase seems to disagree with the fenderskirts, and after looking at it, I think the proper fix may be to bring the rear axle forward, rather than just rescribing the skirts. I am not sure how to go about it... that front yoke section on the axle contacts the driveshaft tunnel. Between the two is the crossbar for the shock mounts. If I could move all of it forward just 1/8" I think it would help. Any advice?
  15. Do want a Manx, but for once I don't care for the unique colored plastic. It will get painted.
  16. Sounds like the time is right for another company to look into the Daytona Coupe. It would be a welcome addition.
  17. Found a few Hudson ads on Hemmings, not all Hornets, but enough to help build the kit... http://www.hemmings.com/classifieds/carsforsale/hudson/hornet/1263414.html BTW, does the Moebius kit represent the 7X "NASCAR" engine?
