  1. Even models are real.
  2. I wonder how they are able to sell and / or market that? Are't chemicals required to offer a MSDS listing (Material Safety Data Sheet, iirc)?
  3. You deserve a more serious answer than my original comment. "Mr. Obsessive" is Bill Geary, a well respected and well known member of the modeling community. He has built some impressive models, and these models have won many awards, as well as being featured in the print publications, as well as on-line hobby media.
  4. And... on that note, what about the 'questionable' names? Sure, they could share the same name as a famous or well known person, but when their whole persona follows suit, i.e.: avatar, location, etc... using the "celebrity" ID, it is easy to question the validity.
  5. Nobody here... that I know of, to say the least... gets to choose in life which rules he/she will follow... without consequence. Once you get into a question of disagreeing with (most/all) rules, you just set yourself up for a fall.
  6. mbl, You don't have to like it. Either now, or after you get locked out.
  7. All I have done at the bench this year is drag through the Hudson build, no photos yet worth showing. So I will take the liberty to go back a year earlier. I didn't like the body bow that AMT's '58 Plymouth has, so I deciided to tackle that. I really need to finish the Hudson, so I can get back to this one.
  8. Ditto. Except the only thing I do with the internet, is use it. "Woot!" is the same as shouting "YES!" as an expression of happiness, approval, or excitment.
  9. I like the stir stick idea! I can picture splitting one lengthwise, and glue in a thin strip of a dark wood. Any suggestions on type of wood? A moto tool would really help in roughing out the final shape.
  10. I have 2 bottles, but both are old. I have good luck with it, but I have no idea what it has for active ingredients. When I am done, I pour it back in the bottle through a coffee filter that I clothspin to a funnel. One of my 2 bottles has cracked from age, although over time and use the quantity has diminished. Now have less than a bottle left.
  11. I try to store most stuff in a plastic tool box, flanked by letter trays.
  12. Real sharp! Hope that finds its way to the NNL East!
  13. Great start! Great color choices! And a thumbs up on following the correct line on foiling the side trim. I have seen pics of the foil trimmed on the bodyside style line, and not on the top edge of the side spear, as it should be. Looking forward to seeing this one complete!
  14. Got this at the LHS w/ a 10% off coupon:
  15. I don't usually bother with resolutions, but if I did, it would be to finish a model. For the first time in over a decade, I finished nothing in 2011.
  16. Nissan just keeps the ugly coming. Agree, the Cube, and the Juke are classic Nissan. When you see what the manufacturers from the Orient are displaying at the Tokyo Motor Show, this is no surprise. And what's up with that new large van with the BIG snout?
  17. Try using Glad Press'n Seal to avoid overspray. It sticks to the surface. Also may have possibility as a masking medium.
  18. I don't have a '69 chip page, but the '70 is the same afaik at least for Y-1 Which photo color is accurate?
  19. Tommy Kortman built a '40 Ford 'runner, use for inspiration:
