  1. Improving on the originals... what a concept!
  2. Chuck, that is awesome! You have any more info or photos on that?
  3. Oh yes! That is... MUCH nicer than the coupe! Nothing wrong with the coupe, just the ragtop is so much classier!
  4. Great build! How about sharing how the body mods were done? Did you keep the original paint, or has it been refinished?
  5. The rarest kit, is the one most of us aren't even aware of. So what is it? I don't know! What I do know, is the Corvair Rampside is rare. But rarest? Doubt it.
  6. That thing got a HEMI?
  7. There is something about the first pic... I actually thought it was of a 1:1 car on the salt! Real nice build!
  8. Rich, it doesn't matter how many times it has been posted. Thank God not every question is answered with a demand to search for the previous time it was asked! How boring would that be?! I have around 1400+ or -. Not really buying much now, especially reissues. Luvin' the Moebius stuff!
  9. Ironically, I just recieved a note card from Tom Geiger & The NNL East... this years theme... SHOW CARS! Hope we see this in person, Ira!
  10. I never hunted for instruction sheets... but I have read others mention this site: http://www.thedpmcc.com/instructionsintro.html
  11. Lowered, sectioned, widened, and flared. What's not to like?
  12. I chose "real". Hard to say for sure.
  13. Back in the day, every kid in town (OK, slight exaggeration) used to run HO cars. The local bike and hobby store turned his basement into a big 8 lane track. All three walls were packed with "drivers" on a Friday night. I remember making a GMC Astro truck & trailer... only one to have a TT truck! What a blast. Miss those days.
  14. I suggest you first check to see if your new photo is too big. Try re-sizing it. Best way to do that is to use a photo host site, such as Photobucket.
  15. I know just the thing for you, Peter!
  16. Not every kit kit on the shelf is a new or recent issue / reissue, and this hobby has a rich history of kits that are still being reissued. They won't be updated to full detail, sometimes the builder has to figure out how to do that.
  17. Like results so far... but really, they way over-hyped this game.
  18. While resin is more brittle, I can't say I have seen it break on me. You can still cut it and sand it. A respirator should be worn when sanding; airborne resin particles are not friendly to lungs. Also, the only compatible glues are super glue and epoxy.
  19. Such quality work is humbling. Thanks for sharing this.
  20. Harry... how do you do that? Find such weird stuff? I mean... Turkey? I didn't even know they made cars! I figured they had mopeds and donkeys towing wooden wagons for transportation. You got us this week!
  21. Paint, among other things. I can walk in to a hobby store, and eyeball color selections of (hopefully) multiple brands. Visual effect. I can read lists until my eyes bleed, but there is little substitute for seeing the new kit selection right in front of me. We have discussed the effect of model box art before, and many on-line vendors cannot afford graphics. So a nod goes to the visual effect of hobby shops. Memory. As in "I have little". So for me to see what is new, or even just in stock, is a big plus.
  22. I have an album of Edsel pics... http://public.fotki.com/JCole/11_fomoco/11-edsel-please-tra/ ...but you could find them on Google as well.
