  1. I would be interested to know what financial incentive the contractor has to make such a large, not to mention unnecessary investment in outfitting busses with sharp lugs and an overabundance of eardrum blasting speakers? And could you send them here?
  2. Ha! Ha! Ha! I got to show this to my boss! His idea of "custom" is repainting the Caravans so all the body panels match ! Not to mention hiding the rust bubbles. Ironically, the van I drive broke down today. Just another day.
  3. We also called them "Roach Coaches". I remember one that stopped regulary at the garage I worked at, dude served green hot dogs! No yum there. Also used to let the guys run up a tab. Then my co-workers got wise to the dude, and started keeping track of what they were charging, and his tab was usually higher. Management sent him packing. I think the business relationship hit bottom when someone squirted mustard all over his truck!
  4. I saw these today @ Hobby Town. Didn't buy any, just rare to see all three together.
  5. Andy, you don't need to wear those respirators. As long as you're not planning on breathing past age 50. I worked several years in the auto body trade, in my youth. I am paying for not taking my lungs seriously.
  6. Ha! Now THAT's what I'm talking about! OK... back to Hollywood Squares.
  7. Nice low profile!
  8. Scott, that is some fine scratchbuilding!
  9. I made a firewall from sheet aluminum, to get the indent, I used plastic glued to a block of wood. Two, actually... male & female, with a bit of a gap between so the metal could have room to bend. I sandwiched the tin between the two molds, and using a rubber mallet, I gave it a good whack! Just polish, then draw out the finished shape, and cut to fit. And that is the extent of my metal crafting.
  10. Aluminum for less than the price of a cup of coffee... yeah, you did good.
  11. I did shooters with the Pope, but nobody had a camera with them.
  12. Stunning, as always, Chris!
  13. That IS cool! If your kit is missing the front bumper & grille, no problem! Check out that profile... the nose has a cap, and the length has been extended. Strange, I would think they would have made a seamless one piece 'glass nose.
  14. I have read elsewhere on this board... as of the current (2nd) issue Stock Car, the fender skirt scribes has been corrected.
  15. I won't have a cat for a housepet. Cat's and models... bad mix! A cat will knock your model off the bench, then stand there... looking at you, as if to say "So? What's your problem?"
  16. First thing with 1/25+ diecasts, get rid of those toy like, way oversized hinges! I would rather re-fab them, or better yet, just glue the doors shut.
  17. OP made a post that was, at the least, poorly worded. He has since apologized, and stressed that he did not hit the dog, and reaffirmed his love of animals. I don't fault anyone furthering the discussion, as long as they acknowledge the full content. In other words, he admits an error, but we don't need a lynching mob. At least he apologized. That's good enough for this dog lover. And on a related note, why does it seem like people will get all emotional over animal abuse, yet... display a "whatever..." attitude to all the HUMAN on HUMAN violence in the world? Love your pets. Love your family. Love mankind.
