  1. ~Beautiful!~
  2. Wooden coffee stir sticks. Several diff 'colors' to choose from, in an old prescription bottle.
  3. So now the tooling is sitting out there... somewhere. I would think it wasn't immediately destroyed after the initial run. Now someone (here?) needs convince them to either sell the tooling to someone who knows how to market the kits, or reissue them with new box art. Otherwise, what an effort for what must have been a marginal return.
  4. Ah, but they are a work of art! Once you have it, most any Danbury Mint car, in front of you, it is hard not to be impressed. I care more for my DM cars (and Franklin Mint, to a lesser extent) than I do my own built models.
  5. Danbury Mint does the McMullen Roadster. Diecast haters need not apply http://www.danburymint.com/diecast/prod/847/Limited-Edition-McMullen-Roadster_0908-0086.aspx?source=3905&cm_mmc=DM-_-URL-_-danburymint.com%2fMcMullen-_-Limited_Edition_McMullen_Roadster
  6. Don't know about the diff between the two Krylons, but if they share the same type nozzles...
  7. He only displays the "Buy it now" price. How much for the "I am high on coke; how much $$$ can I send you?" price?
  8. On a side note, found this pic somewhere... from LeMans, but... what is it?
  9. I have two models; neither yet finished, that have cut open panels. The gap is dealt with by gluing scrap styrene to one side (vertical) edge, and one horizontal edge of the panel that was cut out. I forget if I used Plas-Struc(sp?) or Evergreen. A 1/16" square strip works. If the plastic needs to be "bent", soften it by coating it with liquid styrene cement... the solvents will do its job in just a few minutes. Once the glue dries, add a skim coat of filler (if needed), then sand down the new plastic to fit. I'm no expert, so I hope I make sense with the description. As for the hinges, too late for one model, but the other one... I want to try this "Gen. II" design.
  10. Nice build, Bob! The time restriction makes it even better. In one weekend, I could maybe... get the tires decaled.
  11. Thanks for sharing the photos! She is one beaut!
  12. Oh Sweet Jeezus that is fine! Stunning! Stunning Ferrari!
  13. Nice work, Zoli! Frank, afaik the new 1:1 Interceptor is not yet available, tho I would think it must be soon. As for the Motormax this is made from, I haven't had any luck yet. Why must Wal-Box be so "hit-or-miss"? I mean, someone out there must sell these... and in stock?
  14. It requires no key. You just flash one of your gold chains to start it.
  15. Our marriage is a lot like Halloween with Charlie Brown... "All I got was a rock."
  16. Now there's a comment good enough to gift wrap.
  17. I always dump a small amount of baking powder on it. Being a solid, it instantly cures.
  18. Thank you for the link to the story, Harry. Such aa beautiful and historical aircraft, now in ruins. At least no one was seriously hurt. NBC News reports that there is about only a dozen or so left.
  19. I just saw this on CNN. I do not even yet know for sure where it went down... I was on the phone when the story played. So few left.
  20. You got a good one, Wayne!
  21. Buy the '62 Thunderbird, and the 50 Texaco truck. I assume you work for your money, you deserve to buy what you want, as long as you're not placing the family finances in jeopardy.
  22. Thank you for forwarding me the sets of clear vac-u-formed headlight covers for the Revell C3 Corvette roadracing Corvettes. I don't recall who made these, but I would forward this to them as well. I don't even recall how these came about, except that it had nothing to do with the trade forum. Revell could have easily included these with the kits, opting instead to go with a simulated duct tape cover on the decal sheet... as I recall. These clear covers are just the ticket! Again, thank you!
