I appreciate it Spike. That Iceman drop chassis already has a Hugh "C" notch. I need to adjust the rear axle support tubes for fore/aft, not up/down. -

I think I'm getting close on getting my front and rear axles figured out. I used some 1/8" X .014 aluminum tube to get my proper width. I'll epoxy the aluminum tube to the wheels then to the front and rear suspension. I do need to cut a little off the rear axle tube support rods but no biggie. -

No. I plugged and puttied the kit firewall. Once dry I'll sand it smooth. That's the plan anyway. -

I got out in the garage about 7:00 this morning to try and beat the heat. I decided to fill in the firewall and not use the funky hinge that came in the kit. I think my Tamiya putty is starting to dry out in the tube. I have not gotten around to installing the rear axle just yet as I want to set the rear ride height as close to the front as possible. The front suspension is not adjustable but the rear has a small amount of play to work with. This is the first mock-up and there will be many, many more to get the ride height to where I'm happy with it. -

This is going to be a pretty nice build Greg. I just got in those two colors on the box art in from Splash Paints (Seamist Green & Dover White) anticipating another 55 Nomad build down the road.- 141 replies

Thanks. Yeah, it was a head scratcher at times for sure but I'm a happy camper with how it turned out.
