Thanks DJ. I really don't know just what I'm going to do just yet. Not going to be out in the garage much this week as the heat index is going to be well over 100 and the humidity is terrible. -
Welcome to the site Brian.

Ok...the 41 Willy's is completed so now on to this build. I have everything cleaned up and looking pretty good. I cut the resin suspension from the tree and checked the fit on the chassis and all looks good. I'm not going to cut anymore on the chassis or the bed until I get a little further along in the build. I could end up taking to much off. I've laid everything out and trying to get a picture of just how I want to proceed on this one. Nothing is coming to mind just yet. -
I knew you would like it Buddy. Thanks for taking a look.

I finished this one yesterday and just in time as we have a BIG heat wave about to hit. I picked this kit up at a Model Car show last year and the box had been opened but it was at a good price. If you have built this kit you know what I was working with. It was primed with Tamiya White Surface primer and the topcoat is "Twister Orange" by Splash Paints. It was also cleared with Splash Paints 2K Urethane clear. After wet sanding it was polished with Meguiar's products. A BIG shout out to "magicmustang" for the K.S. Pittman decals. I was struggleing on what decals to use and magicmustang had the answer. The flatty with the Ardun heads came from Texas 3D Customs. The Moon tank and battery were moved to the trunk for better weight transfer. The floor pan and trunk were made out of aluminum to cut down on weight to help on those races against Big John Mazmaninian and Stone-Woods-Cook. I hope you fellows like this one as it was a fun build for me. WIP: 1941 Willy's Gasser - Page 5 - WIP: Drag Racing Models - Model Cars Magazine Forum

Well, I appreciate it Tim but don't get your hopes up for a show piece because I'm just an average Modeler.
