Well...as you all know I decanted the Tamiya TS-11 Maroon and airbrushed it. After the paint had set for a couple days it was still pretty thin. I did not need to add any thinner to this paint before airbrushing as it was still pretty thin. The body was primed with Tamiya white surface primer and it sat for 3 days before airbrushing the Maroon. I shot 5 coats letting it dry about 5 min between coats. I was up close on the body when I shot it but it has the appearance as though I had my airbrush far away and the paint started to dry before it hit the body. I had the body in the paint drying booth for 6 hr so the paint is good and dry but since I've been having trouble with paint drying I'm going to let is set for a few days before doing anything with it. I'll wet sand the paint with 12,000 grit before shooting it with the Tamiya X-22 clear. The clear will mask some of the grainy look but we'll see just how much. Only time will tell, I may have to strip this one.
