  1. Nice looking Wildcat. Great looking color.
  2. Thanks Richard.
  3. Thanks Buddy. Yeah, I decided to use the short block of the Buick engine that came in the kit with a dual quad setup I found in the parts box.
  4. I appreciate it Kyle. Thanks.
  5. Boy, that Olds 442 is coming along James. Nice work.
  6. Nice. Those Zimmerman wheels & tires are going to wake up that 53 Chevy. Looks good.
  7. I got out in the garage this morning to make a decision on a clear coat or not. I made an executive decision to just polish the paint like I did on my 30 Ford Coupe since it came out nice. The paint almost has a metallic look to it depending on the light. Comments welcome on my decision.
  8. Thanks Dave. I've still got a ways to go and some decisions to make.
  9. That's a pretty kewl setup you got there. I like the shot of the two Willy's at the line. Looks great.
  10. Good looking 66 Chevy pickup. Nicely done.
  11. Thanks Carl. It is the best part of the build for me ☺
  12. I spent most of last year trying different primers, paints, and clear coats. I never could achieve a mirror like finish that I was looking for but, I did get a paint job that I'm happy with and it looks more natural to me. My 30 Ford coupe was painted with Tamiya acrylic paint thinned 2-1 with Mr. Color Leveling thinner. I did not use a clear coat. I just polished the paint.
  13. That's a Looker Buddy. Love that body color and the interior. I really like the pics taken outside. It makes that purple really pop. Glad you got it finished. Nice job man.
  14. Thanks man.
  15. You may be right. This will take some coffee in the morning and a little more thinking.
  16. I did not. Already had the engine together.
  17. I did a couple mock ups to see what engine I'm going to use. The Ford 312 "Y" block (Blue) engine is really tall while the Chevy 396 BB sets a little better. Both would require a lot of cutting on the frame and cross member to get the hood closed. I'm now looking at one of the two blocks that came with the kit.
  18. Well....it seemed easy. We'll see once the paint cures out and I can do a dry fit.
  19. Thanks Dave. I bent the hood down the center line. The area where the cutout is for the bug catcher gave a little and that seem to be enough. So now I just pinch the hood a little and it snaps right on. It did before paint so we'll see.
  20. Thanks Wolf. Yeah, that's what I did with the 30 Ford Coupe I build and it looked really nice.
  21. Your 63 Chrysler Turbine is coming along nicely.
  22. Both Corvettes look great. The silver with the black interior looks nice. Nice job on the build.
  23. Boy, that 34 Sedan looks great. I can see Bonnie and Clyde setting in there. Great color. Nicely done.
