I've used the Rust-Oleum 2X flat white primer a lot and it lays down really nice. I've even sprayed a pearl clear over it for a finished paint job.

I got it in Tamiya White surface primer yesterday Carl.

Boy your monogram 36 coupe is a great looking piece of early iron. Great project.

I got the hood stripped and back in Tamiya white surface primer. Did a little mockup of what I have so far. Still need to paint the paper element on the air cleaners and a little more detail in the engine bay. Comments are welcome fellows.

I appreciate the info. I've looked at the lamps at HL and didn't really see anything that was above 3X . The 5X that I have works really well for me. I don't mind paying for a good quality magnifying lamp, I just don't want to pay a lot of money for another cheap Chinesse product that won't last.

That's a good looking 56 Ford pickup. I really like the deep blue and the backed out wheels.

The little Duece is coming along nicely. I like how you opened up the cowl vent. I may have to try that on my 37 Ford Pickup.

The first magnifying lamp I got from my son for Christmas and it lasted around 6 months. The switch stopped working and it finally went out. I got a new one a few weeks ago and it's already starting to go bad. I guess I'm going to have to buy a better quality magnifying lamp. My question is, which magnifying lamp is of good quality and will last? What magnifying lamp do you have that has lasted for a few years or more. The pic is the magnifying lamp I currently have and the first one was similar to this one.
