  1. The little Duece is coming along nicely. I like how you opened up the cowl vent. I may have to try that on my 37 Ford Pickup.
  2. The first magnifying lamp I got from my son for Christmas and it lasted around 6 months. The switch stopped working and it finally went out. I got a new one a few weeks ago and it's already starting to go bad. I guess I'm going to have to buy a better quality magnifying lamp. My question is, which magnifying lamp is of good quality and will last? What magnifying lamp do you have that has lasted for a few years or more. The pic is the magnifying lamp I currently have and the first one was similar to this one.
  3. Thanks Carl. Yeah, guess I just need to suck it up and push through ☺
  4. That's a mighty fine looking Gasser there Buddy. Black & red is always a good color combo and yours looks bitchin. Great build.
  5. Thanks James. Yeah, i'll get it done, just hate having issues on a good paint job. Let us know how the new bmf works out.
  6. Thanks Ray. I hear ya. I just hate redoing paint issues.
  7. Haha....I stand corrected Ray. I thought I was responding to James. Sorry Buddy.
  8. Thanks James. I need to get this one behind me so I can get on the 37 Ford pickup. I hope that new bmf works out. Let us know.
  9. I just pulled the hood out of the drink. It is nice and clean and white again. I'll get it in primer tomorrow and start spraying to bronze and clear orange next week.
  10. Thanks James. I'm working on the issue.
  11. Just a super nice clean build. The color looks great. Nice job.
  12. Nice looking 27 Ford. I remember all the old movies with Frankie Avalon and Arnett Funicello.
  13. Sweet looking little Dodge Brian. Nicely done.
  14. Here ya go fellows. I was totally dissatisfied with the way the foil was going on and messing up the paint plus it would not go around the radius. When I mask it off with Tamiya masking tape and used a Sharpie it bleed through. The hood is in 91% Isopropyl Alcohol. I'm going to try and match the paint and this time there will be NO bmf on the car.
  15. Thanks Michael. I really wasn't trying to skip the clear coat. I was satisfied with the paint finish. Wasn't looking for a shiny paint job.
  16. Thanks for the info John. I have the hood in the drink. I'll try and airbrush it again and shoot for the same finish. Better said than done.
  17. Thanks Dave. I airbrushed this and it was a clear orange over bronze so I can't just touch it up. Not sure what I can do with this one.
  18. I appreciate it James. I've got my thinkin cap on for this one.
  19. I know Kyle. Not sure what I'm going to do at this point.
  20. Good looking 33 Coupe.
  21. Well fellows.....disaster struck on the paint job. I told myself a while back I wan't going to use bmf anymore and it bit me in the butt once again. I could not get it to stick and I was digging into the paint. I switched to masking off the trim with Tamiya masking tape and using a silver Sharpie. It bleed underneath the tape and since I have no clear on the paint I have no clue what will take it off and not harm the paint. I tried denatured alcohol and lacquer thinner under the hood but it took the paint off. Looks like this one is history for now fellows.
  22. The 33 Ford Coupe came out looking really nice John. That interior color sure looks nice with the body color. I just love this style of old cars. Great Work.
  23. I appreciate it Andrew. Thanks.
  24. Thanks for the info Dave.
  25. Nice looking 36 Alan. Great paint job. Nice build.
