  1. Thanks Carl. First time for me to try the weathering. I'm good with it so far.
  2. I have used a lot of the Tamiya TS paint over the last year. It's a synthetic lacquer that cures pretty quick. I use TS-13 Clear Gloss and Rust-Oleum Crystral clear lacquer for the clear coat. I have trouble with orange peel at times with both paint & clear and a BIG contributing factor for me is Humidity. I have yet to get a mirror type finish with Tamiya paints, but it can be done. Cool Hand (Luke) is the fellow to talk to as he has the Tamiya TS paint down pat. The pics are of his 1950 Oldsmobile. Maybe Luke with chime in to give his 2 cents worth.
  3. Nice looking 55. I like the white. Great job.
  4. Great job on this built Randy. Boy does that 427 look sweet setting in the business end. Nice color and great looking interior.
  5. Good looking 61 Dodge Steve. The traditional black & red looks great. What a unique body style Dodge had back in the day. Great looking model and I love those wheels & tires.
  6. Just love the old school Hot Rods and yours looks pretty sweet. That Rust-Oleum 2X Grey primer lays down so nice. The Grey and red really work together nicely. Great build Dave.
  7. Thanks Kyle. I was going to use A satin blue but opted for the satin green.
  8. I think it's a good looking color Robert.
  9. The dual fan units are much bigger than the single fan units.
  10. Thanks Dave. I was a little worried about over spray but I plan on moving the vehicles out of the garage when I spray.
  11. Thanks Kyle. Yeah, it's going to be nice not having to worry about the wind now.
  12. Well fellows....I finally got myself a spray booth. Whenever I use it I'll have to pull the truck outside and if the wife is home her car will be pulled out as well. It's the vivoHOME Dual Fan. I bought the dual fan because it's much bigger in physical size than the single fan units. This one measures 22"W X 18.9"D X 14.1"H. With the new paint booth I should have much more control over spraying and I'm hoping for better paint jobs. Only time will tell. I got this off Fleabay for $169 + FREE Shipping. Could I have made one myself, I sure could have but I just sold a metal detector so it was pretty much and even swap.
  13. Such a kewl looking Old School Hot Rod. Love that Flatty in the business end. Nice build.

  22. I got the engine competed and installed. Not much left to do but a little touch up. I've got a good ole boy (TransAmMike) sending me the red lens for the tail light as I lost mine.
