  1. Thanks EMRE.

  3. Thanks you sir. I appreciate the kind words.
  4. Thanks Dave. Much appreciated.
  5. I'm calling this one done fellows. Under Glass: http://www.modelcarsmag.com/forums/topic/170981-55-chevy-pro-street/
  6. I finally got this one finished. I had trouble with this build from the beginning with the red paint all the way to the end loosing the red lens taillights and then I stepped on the lens frames. I think it turned out pretty good with all the issues I had. The body was painted with Rust-Oleum Flat White Primer and cleared with Rust-Oleum Crystal Clear Lacquer. It was then wet sanded and polished. The chassis, engine, and wheels & tires are from the AMT 67 Chevelle Pro Street kit. I opted not to use an alternator so this ol boy will have to head back home after a run and charge the battery. That's what I did back in the day. I also used an electric fan instead of a mechanical one. WIP: http://www.modelcarsmag.com/forums/topic/169156-55-chevy-pro-street/
  7. Nice thread Luke. I'll be following this one.
  8. Great job on bringing back the ole 49 Ford. The color looks Great, and the engine bay looks Super. Very nicely done.
  9. Welcome aboard Edward. Nice looking modeling shop and great looking little GT.
  10. Nice looking so far. Has a nice stance.
  11. Nice looking 60 Chevy pickup. Tool box looks nice. Great build.
  12. That's one tuff looking 55 Chevy. Good looking BB in the business end. Nice build.
  13. Thanks man. Looks like you've got it figured out pretty good.
  14. I think I'm done with the weathering. The running boards, grille, front apron, and fenders are painted flat black. I'll try going over them with some 0000 steel wool once they are good and dry.
  15. I have my new spray booth set up and vented.
  16. Thanks Jim and thank you for your service.
  17. Thanks Carl. First time for me to try the weathering. I'm good with it so far.
  18. I have used a lot of the Tamiya TS paint over the last year. It's a synthetic lacquer that cures pretty quick. I use TS-13 Clear Gloss and Rust-Oleum Crystral clear lacquer for the clear coat. I have trouble with orange peel at times with both paint & clear and a BIG contributing factor for me is Humidity. I have yet to get a mirror type finish with Tamiya paints, but it can be done. Cool Hand (Luke) is the fellow to talk to as he has the Tamiya TS paint down pat. The pics are of his 1950 Oldsmobile. Maybe Luke with chime in to give his 2 cents worth.
  19. Nice looking 55. I like the white. Great job.
  20. Great job on this built Randy. Boy does that 427 look sweet setting in the business end. Nice color and great looking interior.
  21. Good looking 61 Dodge Steve. The traditional black & red looks great. What a unique body style Dodge had back in the day. Great looking model and I love those wheels & tires.
  22. Just love the old school Hot Rods and yours looks pretty sweet. That Rust-Oleum 2X Grey primer lays down so nice. The Grey and red really work together nicely. Great build Dave.
  23. Thanks Kyle. I was going to use A satin blue but opted for the satin green.
