  1. amazon delivery or tracking im to disgruntled to care anymore. got an email that said my package was out for delivery at a quarter after 8 this morning. nothing until 2pm when tracking finally kicked and i could expect delivery between 2 and 4pm. and at 10 to 4 i was the next stop according to tracking and the truck was literally around the corner. 10 after 4 and the driver had a few more delivery's before me but the truck was being shown on the next main street over, literally 2000 feet away. 4:30 the stupid truck hadn't moved in 20 minutes. 4:40 and i was the next delivery. 5pm and there were a few more delivery's before me. 5:20 and the truck hadn't moved in 20 minutes but the driver had a few more delivery's before me. 5:45 and i get an email stating they "ran into an issue with when attempting my delivery and they would try again tomorrow." now i know for a fact they never showed up here. for starters we have a doorbell, and to compound the doorbell we have the boss's dog who likes to bark when someone comes to the door. so instead of leaving work at 4, i left royally ticked off at 10 to 6 with my afternoon plans ruined and my evenings plans disrupted. so instead of BBQing turkey burgers im eating a tuna sandwich.
  2. over the weekend someone attempted to steal the tailgate off my truck. thanks to a bolt on lock i installed a couple years ago they failed. thieving jerks failing, i am most pleased.
  3. yeap, Toprank International Vehicle Imports. they do importing and sales. i drive past it on my way home from work sometimes. it's nothing to see several Skylines, a Supra, RX7's, maybe even an NSX sitting out there. even saw a Suzuki Cappuccino one day which i thought was amusing. here's there website https://www.importavehicle.com/
  4. a JDM situation. pretty soon there will be more Skylines in the US than in Japan.
  5. neat thread. sense i seem to be a wee bit younger than some here, this won't be as interesting. this is my 71 Super Beetle maybe a month after i got it back in 1999. the other is of the same car rebuilt in about 2006 parked in front of my next door neighbors 50 or 51 i can't remember Studebaker. i took it in black and white trying to make it look like an old pic.
  6. if you don't like the taste of rice allow me to offer a palate cleanser.
  7. i knew somebody in my neighborhood raced off road. now i know who! https://www.instagram.com/jbuck_motorsports
  8. 54/55 Studebaker pick up. nice looking, light blue with white grill/front. looked bone stock. and had a for sale sign in the back window. couldn't catch up to it to get the details. edit: and i saw it on a street called Studebaker!
  9. today was long roof day. spotted a 56 Chevy Nomad, and a i think 55(?) ford delivery. the Nomad was clean. the ford was in primer and looked ruff but was at least running and driving.
  10. saw the funky green Z again. also saw a blue (believe it was a) 64 El Camino. but thanks to a soccer mom in an SUV i couldn't get a pic of that one.
  11. nice! some family friends used to have a pontoon boat. think it was a 20 footer. made a great fishing boat. little more room to move around, you could kick back and take a break. and the added benefit is you can take more people out with ya, needless to say you're going to have a lot of friends now
  12. in my search for "obscure" 90's alternative rock picked up the Nymphs self titled CD and have been listening to that. i dig it, it's pretty good!
  13. that's a flashback to high school ? it's right up there with Closing Time by Semisonic and Butterfly by Crazy Town. those songs were inescapable in 1998. (not a complaint)
  14. saw a huge wing with a Miata bolted to it
  15. and to think, the front man is also the founder of Singer Vehicle Design, who's responsible for possibly the nicest 911 restorations/modifications in the world. been bumpin' Catherine Wheel sense i heard Black Metallic in the early 90's. very underrated band.
  16. that reminds me of a car featured in Super Chevy Magazine back in like 93/94. ?
  17. the Explorer Sport Trac was a flop, i seriously wonder why they tried it again. i saw this yesterday. its ether a 350 or 370 Z with a color changing ugly green wrap
  18. was that assembled with a hot glue gun?
  19. was not aware the Edsel had sub models.
  20. the ranger actually started as a trim level on F100's and later became a compact truck. and now it's a "midsize" and anyone with more than 2 brain cells to rub together looking for a midsize truck buys a Tacoma. the ranger has been it's own thing longer than it was trim package so it's whatever at this point. the explorer i think was just a trim level on an F100 and never gained traction as there own entity. no real loss. wasn't the Ramcharger just a 426 wedge engine option? and didn't it only last a few years? slapping a defunct name on an off road capable SUV that was more workhorse than your wifes luxury SUV is kinda here nor there. at least they put the name on something cool. the charger having 4 doors is something i was vocal about my displeasure of at the time. to this day i still refer to them as magnum sedans. sense they really are just magnum wagons with a shortened roofline. JDM challenger yeap. do to politics and world events the muscle car was dead, sports cars were junk, and most people ether wonder what the heck were they thinking, or are embarrassed by it. it was a dumb move on Chryslers part. the Sierra (at least under Chevy, didn't know ford used it) was just a trim level. one could argue the current GMC is just a high end Chevy and therefor still is a trim level. at least the name is still on a truck. the lightning is another thing im royally infuriated about. the original lightning was a factory sport truck, a mustang in a truck package. to slap it on a generic f150 because its electric is lazy and disrespectful to the brand.
