  1. If you have a deep pocket here's a complete kit on ebay.. reputable seller..
  2. Thank you Sean.. my original layout was a 4×8 plywood table consisting of an oval track with one siding for the passenger station. It had a few plastic glue type assembled structures and painted grass and roads. I grew tired of it pretty quickly and decided to go with a 2×2, 2×4 grid platform in a J-shape with approximately 300 feet of nickel silver flex track with nickel silver switches and crossings. It had one mainline and two other separate tracks. One functioning as a coal line and the other as a freight line. The tracks were all working well with the occasional irk now and then. I started constructing some of the wire mesh and plaster scenery but never finished it due to my new hobby that popped up, girls.. unfortunately the hobby got put on hold. I had scratchbuilt the roundhouse, coaling tower, a wooden trestle bridge that was to be placed over a deep gorge and a few other misc buildings. I also started scratchbuilding the main attraction, the mountain side coal facility fashioned after one I had seen in a Railroad Modeler Magazine issue. I still have the trestle and the unfinished coal facility but unfortunately the other structures are long gone. I've attached photos of the two structures I still possess. Sorry not the best quality photography.
  3. Plan B, Guido and his arsenal of brass knuckles and cement shoes should speed things up and possibly gain you a healthy tip..😉
  4. Syntax sounds like what a certain Diddy should be paying.

  9. I stumbled on a photo of the 1980 AMC Spirit I bought new. It's only a 4 banger with 151 hp. It had the sporty look going for it so I slapped on a set of 15" Cragars with L50's on the rear and a set of Hi-jackers. I had a lot of fun with it, even if it was a slug..
  10. Man I've been watching them dig from day one, lots of top pocket finds and a few Bobby dazzlers.
  11. Going through some boxes today I found some old photo albums that had a few photos of the railroad buildings that I had scratched built back in my teen years, around 1973. Also in the boxes was my collection of Show Rod stickers, still intact and never peeled. Mfd. by Fleer Corp. Philadelphia, Pa. for George Barris. Along with a few Monogram model kit trading cards, Weird Wheels stickers never peeled, 66 American Hot Rod Asscoiation Official Drag Champs trading cards, 50 Street Choppers Hot Rod trading cards and a boat load of Baseball trading cards that never got clothes pined to my bicycle rims to simulate that nifty motorcycle sound. If anyone is interested I can start a new topic showing them. I've posted a few that I'm sure that may peak some interest. Enjoy..✌️😎...Mike
  12. silliness is my middle name..
  13. Bright light exposure, getting wet or feeding after midnight are the 3 No, No's for a Mogwai or else you'll end up with a Gremlin, and I'm not talking about an AMC vehicle.
  14. There seems to be a lot of changes being made and a lot hoopla over what is common sense, so take a deep breath, grab some popcorn and a soda while you witness the heads exploding of those in denial and who are apparently dense.
  15. Crime fighter Giuseppe Magoo went to the shipping yard to scope out the scene where it was reported that someone stole a rare specimen of dinosaur poo, but the only clue he found was the stench left behind and a hand written note that read, Come find me Magoo if you think that you can.
  16. Here now I proclaim, due to uncontrollable circumstances I am no longer identifying as a human being, I am now a donkey because my wife told me so when I wouldn't agree with her opinion.
  17. Digits on the right and digits on the left are all still attached after working 30 years in a cabinet shop, only one, the left thumb is a tad bit shorter after performing an unsafe style of cutting with the 10" mitter box saw.
  18. While searching ebay for possible purchases, I usually go to my saved sellers list first and check out what is up for grabs. One of those sellers is francisstudio. Presently they have a collection of Professionally Built models by John Klaver. I have heard his name before, but have never met the fellow. I was wondering if anyone could elaborate on any info on Mr. Klaver. The seller has around 37 automotive models of different varieties for sale as buy now or best offer. Some very impressive builds. The model posted is rather unique. Thanks..
  19. Situation as such has a solution that was once explained to me by a hospital nurse, Similar to what a nun would do with a ruler except using the flick of a finger.
