  1. All is well and good per the Gastroenterologist. The previous blood work showed no signs of a thyroid problem. But it looks like someone is overdue for everyone's favorite, the colonoscopy..🫣
  2. I believe I'm good to go, if not I'll have my go to tech guru educate this tech less numbskull on what he needs to do.. Thank God for smartypants grandchildren..
  3. Figures in a diorama can add a touch of realism and a sense of action or movement when strategically placed in situational positions.
  4. Abandoned outbuildings surrounded by decaying vehicles with all their rusted glory makes for picture perfect scenes depicted in a model diorama.
  5. Congratulations to you and the misses, Carl...
  6. "That is preposterous" said Molly when she was told little Billy designed a car that could fly and generate it's own power source from the sun by the time he graduated 5th grade.
  7. Today my brother had two doctors appointments. First one was concerning his prostate results, more detailed than the phone call he received earlier last week. The MRI he had on the 10th showed two spots on the outside of the capsule and were both 3.6 on a 1 to 5 scale, not a 5 as he thought he was told. He will need a biopsy to determine if they are malignant or benign. He was also told that more than likely if it's malignant they'll use radiation to treat it. The next appointment was with the cardiovascular vascular thoracic specialist/surgeon. She confirmed that his right carotid artery definitely has a total occlusion which nothing can be done, but not to worry the body has a way to compensate by suppling blood though veins and capillaries to make up for the blockage. He was also told that his left carotid artery was NOT 15% blocked and was fine. The 15% was a misunderstanding on my brothers part. He has to go back in two years to test again to see if there's any change. So needless to say he's on a high note and I'm more than pleased. Tomorrow is another day and yet another doctors appointment. This appointment is a consultation with a Gastroenterologist to start the process of checking the thyroid since dad had thyroid problems.
  8. I questioned one seller that clearly stated in his description that he only shipped kits with brown paper wrapping. He told me he'd been shipping that way for years with no issues or damage. He also told me that using a box would cost extra. I took his word and let him ship it as he wished, his kit arrived unscathed. A couple of others, not.
  9. Not today, but over the last few months the deer have been coming up into our yard and enjoying the foliage on the many Golden Euonymus Plants in the yard. They've stripped all the small plants down to the main stalks and are slowly working on the larger bushes.
  10. That really stinks Sean. Luckly I've only a few kits shipped in a bag or wrapped in brown paper. Two arrived damaged but thankfully they were not vintage kits. Still peed me off a bit. I do like that Carpenter kit, I had one but gave it to a buddy.
  11. polite is not a lamp on top of a strippers pole at the gentleman's club.
  12. Sticks and stone may break my bones but milk and brownies will help save me, so I'll send you some and we'll have some fun talking about models while enjoying these yummies.
  13. Sing for joy, the brownie mix is in, so let's get back to smacking them lips and spewing out sentences because before you know it I'll be chewing on some heavenly, delightful calories with a tall glass of milk.
  14. Enough of this mumbo jumbo, it's time to heat up the oven and get mixing on some Pillsbury Chocolate Fudge Brownies for tonight's snack.
  15. This one arrived today from ebay. The box needs some TLC which I was aware of before bidding. I haven't inventoried it yet but I can see already one of the tail lights is missing as I did a fast rummage to separate the glass and tires. I can't complain since it was $21.18 total including S&H and tax.
  16. Sweet, my first model kits were metal Hubleys. Unfortunately the boxes all got trashed but not the models. You can't put a price on memories..
  17. Imagines of red bottoms reminds me of when we did wrong and got the black belt from dad, and no he did not hold a degree in martial arts.
  18. Shoes that I wore during my disco days in high school were blue suede platforms, and NO I did not wear a white leasure suit but rather silk print shirts and bell bottoms.
