  1. I used some tamiya white primer on current build I'm doing and it is amazing stuff. It does lay down silky smooth and self levels amazingly well. Mr surfacer thinned right with either MLT or rapid thinner it's the same if not better.
  2. Could always decant it. But yeah that was one of the negative reviews about it with the paint build up lol. Prob crappy nozzle. $15 for 8oz is a lot cheaper than $20 for 2oz. I'm gonna go to o reillys tomorrow and check up on it.
  3. Thanks for the help everybody. I'll get something figured out lol. EDIT: So i found a can of perfect match at o reilly, but it's got nothing but negative reviews lol. Is it best to decant it? Never used duplicolor before.
  4. Solid. It's for the Aoshima toyota GT 2000 Yeah that pure white looks pretty close Yes but those cans are like $18 near me and no store has them. Nevermind doubled checked o reilly's for $15 Artic white which would be perfect. I actually have this but i don't care for the gloss as i use 2K. I think i have tamiya's pure white as well in LP line up.
  5. Does any body know what white would match this dover white? I really don't wanna pay almost $20 for a bottle from scalefinishes just for 1 color.
  6. Most of my stuff came in! Two packs of new foil. Love how he packaging it now.
  7. Yeah i just could not get certain area's to cover properly. Everything looks good until you turn it over and start tapping and BOOM missed area or too thin in certain areas. So instead of brown embossing powder it got flat brown tamiya lol. Prob should of mixed some flat white to lighten it up cause its as brown as brown gets. But i think it contrasts pretty good with the med tan interior.
  8. I don't have any boat kits, but i do have train kits and other machinery type kits. Vehicle kits start to get stale after awhile, unless you're someone that eats, sleep, breath cars everyday.
  9. Yeah that's what i meant was different lol. Actually witness some insanity doing some flocking with some embossing powder, but it just wasn't doing it. After 10 tries of washing, cleaning, laying down clear elmers glue, embossing powder it wouldn't cover properly so i gave up.
  10. Not finished but testing out new light box.
  11. Insanity would be doing the same thing over and over again expecting the same result ~ Albert Einstein
  12. Now i got to buy more tamiya primer so i can do some testing - because this just seems weird to me. Unless tamiya is changing up the formula and we just haven't got a can of it yet.
  13. Might be a poor mans version, but the creo's are amazing brushes. I own a PS270 just for Metallics like chrome and other metals.
  14. I've actually used my tamiya white primer I've had for awhile now on a current build I'm working on. I'm using almost all MCW paint on it as well and no issues at all. So is scalefinises hotter than MCW?
  15. Haven't used Tamiya primer with basecoats, but have used Mr surfacer and others with no issues. So I'm wondering what the compatibility issue is all of a sudden? He's also offering a free bottle of his primer with orders until July 31st because he no longer recommends his paint with ANY other primer. Thoughts & Opinions?
  16. At 1:51 that's some killer fore shadowing lol. If you slow the vid down to 0.5 and at 5:29 mark i don't know how he didn't break his chest.
  17. They'll send it out free since it's there fault. You'll get the part within a week or two.
  18. You can find it at walmart cheap that's where i found the scratch x 2.0. If walmart doesn't have it autozone or advanced will but it'll cost little more. Far as wax goes i use there cheap stuff in the red bottle(cleaner wax) think it was like $5 when i got it. You basically put it on even and smooth and let it sit for a few mins and than wipe it off, and than do one final wipe. Takes less than 10 mins easiest step in the sanding, compounding, and, polishing routine.
  19. I have the 2.0 but never used the original. I'm sure it's the better version of the original, but with there ultimate compound i stopped using it. I also use chemicals guys C4 clear cut and P4 polish.
  20. Yeah just got through watching it thank you. I'm most def getting this kit gotta love moebius.
  21. hmm I've seen them on a 70's bronco before.
