  1. Guess you could say Broooo, that's knarly dudeeeeeeee ?
  2. I never find good deals like that at hobby lobby. I usually find them at ollie's, but i haven't seen a kit at ollie's in almost a year. Didn't revell germany re release those fast & furious kits?
  3. Yeah i do large orders from plaza japan because shipping amount on one kit is silly. If I'm looking for just one kit than it'll be checking local shops or ebay.
  4. Yes i LOVE plaza japan. There prices have been cheap for a long long time. Shipping is high, but it's worth it in the end. So many kits I've bought for $15-$20 that you would pay $60 and up for in the states. There packaging is great, and you get cool little gifts from them too. My last order from them was about $300. If i would of found and bought every kit amongst other things in the states that i got from them it would of been way way more. Example tamiya tape from them less than $2, and in the states bout $6 lol
  5. You mean like these? Can't remember what size the small starts at on the meng but it ends at 1.4mm
  6. I got this kit haven't built it yet, but it's nice. I love aoshima kits engine or no engine.
  7. Were you just doing some testing or you're actually using one or all the bodies? That paint job turned out great.
  8. Yeah 1500 is what you want for nice and smooth(going over it with 3000 wet sponge doesn't hurt either). But 500 is best for filling and etc not for putting a color coat on. 500 can be used for like heavy body work, and than you work your way up too 1500. Surfacer 1500 black and ak titan hobby matt black primer are the two best black primers I've seen and used. So good I'll even use it on parts are semi gloss black and just use something like tamiya's semi gloss clear right over the primer lol.
  9. Man i forgot about those. There pretty good not the best but pretty darn good. Can be little pricey if you buy them as singles. Think hobby lobby sells the 4 or 5 pack least my hobby lobby does.
  10. Those are knock offs. Terrible compared to the legit micro mesh. But there not meant for tight spots IMO that's what there sponge set is for or the cloths you can get from micro mesh. You can even make your own with 3M self adhesive pads like the little square ones. Make a square piece of sand paper the same size and stick on the 3M pad and BOOM instant flexible sanding pad. Think there called mounting pads and there square or you could get the roll kind and just make as many as you need.
  11. Micro-mesh, Tamiya, infini, and other sells sponge sanding pads. Example of infini. There sandpaper is top notch along with there sanding sticks, sponge sticks, etc
  12. What airbrush are you using? How far are you spraying? Stynylrez can be sanded which is does sand nicely. I haven't used it in a long time, because it dries way to fast and tip dry city and annoying to clean up.
  13. I own the cheaper one for around $35. The other version is like $60.
  14. $15 he basically gave it away lol good stuff
  15. Kustom service metallics are another fantastic line up but there $8 a bottle on newtype.com haven't seen them in stores. Robot kai sells a few different brands of metallics as well but there on the pricey side. Splash paints also makes pretty good metallics, but again on the pricey side. If you can only do local hobby shops? see if you have a hobby town around mine started to carry mr hobby paints no to long ago and if you're lucky you may catch some super matallics, but there $5 a 10ml. Hobby town usually has a bigger paint selection than mom and pop shops around here.
  16. Depending on how small the part is I'll use tamiya's enamel paints that come in a 10ml bottle. There XF line up isn't really meant for brush painting but can work. Vallejo model color is great for brush painting, and i think they have metal colors too. There airbrush ready paints can be brushed pretty good too. Real small parts XF will work great and there enamel line up does wonders. Just thin tamiya with leveling thinner from mr hobby or use tamiyas own retarder for thinning.
  17. Ak metal colors are good, but bout the same price if not more than alclad. Mr.hobby super metallic range is awesome as well. Didn't know he was moving to NC? That's cool, doubt shipping would be any cheaper lol. You know what part of NC?
  18. Def mega hobby. modelroundup is over priced.
  19. This is the exhaust fan(dayton) and switch i used in my custom booth.
  20. Thanks! Yeah he looks a mess right now cause the panel line wash isn't done or cleaned up. Also still got a BLAH_BLAH_BLAH_BLAH ton of parts left to get together. First zoid i ever had came from walmart and was in a box like AMT and revell comes in. These zoids kits here are from kotobukiya and very detailed also very pricey $70 and up depending on the kit. The paint work some guys do on these kits are amazing too, but i decided not to paint mine right now.
  21. So i did some testing using two products on removing the BMF film from glass and these two products work perfect. I tried 91% ISP, but it left a haze on the glass. The piece of glass in the pic was cleaned with novus step 1 only took a few passes with a Q-tip bout like you're sanding. The UWC product works perfect as well, and can also be used to clean enamel panel line washes up which works beautifully. Now this is just a tip for folks that might already have these products especially novus. Also don't mind the zoid he still got some work to be done and cleaning up to be had lol
  22. Have you ever applied carbon fiber decals? Sometimes heat is a must. Bout like putting heat on shrink tubing just not as much.
