  1. I was that way with interior tubs even though i have few kits with full interior tubs sigh. Doubt AMT or Revell will ever go the route like tamiya and other with metal transfers. Sucks buying a PE set for $15-20 for a script lol. You mean like tamiya and aoshima etc? i don't think they are colored, but they are nice metal transfers though. LOVE seeing them in japan kits, and i think even trumperter does them as well with some kits and there out of china.
  2. I had a custom built 24 inch booth i built using the same dayton blower the 36 inch pace spraybooth uses. It was a good booth just ended up being too small just needed more space to move plus try to imagine painting big rig trailer kit in that size. I kept my dayton blower as it cost more than it did to build the booth i had so now i have a spare. But if you're like me than you'll want that 36" booth as it'll be the last you ever need for any model up to 33-34 inches long. It's pricey because he includes shipping in the price, and also look at it this way - it happens with fish tanks all the time you get a 55 gallon thinking its huge, but week later you're like man should of got a 75 gallon or bigger. Here are two pics of the booth the day i got it, and he does take about a good week or so to ship it out cause there not pre built least i don't think they are, and i got mine within 2 days after it was shipped out via UPS and packaging is pretty good too. Barbatos rex on youtube has a video of his he got as well if you wanna see a video of it. I would also recommend good lighting for it as well. I use waveform lighting bulbs Waveform Lighting bulbs there expensive but you get what you pay for and 95CRI and they do have the 60watt versions and they only use like 10watts. You can also use a light bar too whatever you fancy.
  3. This is what you're looking for but there out of stock. European Car Emblem Stickers (1:12, 1:18, 1:24, 1:43) Porsche, Ferrari, Lamborghini I think the hiroboy and alpha model resin kits come with them too, but that's pretty expensive just for an emblem.
  4. Probably so i know nothing about nascar lol
  5. Yeah that was the first time I've seen that build myself, and that's more skill than most people will have or care to have when it comes to a plastic model. While beautifully crafted that's just taking a plastic model way way to far and took him 4 years to do. Unfair comp if it was ever allowed at a show, and no longer a plastic model besides body and frame. He's a master of his craft and should make money off it instead of something to put on a shelf, but maybe he does?
  6. Those are really nice builds even though I'm not into nascar models. That #8 model is very nice, but the decal headlights is a big bummer.
  7. I use photo etch, and have some photo etch sets that cost more than most kits cost lol. I'm not really into opening doors etc, and i do enough scratch building cleaning up flash and mold lines ?
  8. I'm not sure about the kit as a whole, but i know the revell germany will have a better manual.
  9. Maybe someone will get one that'll have enough flash to parts ratio to warrant the price lol
  10. Yeah i heard they were good kits, and very detailed for its size. There more detailed than a lot of 1/24 and 1/25 kits.
  11. New booth and kits over past 2 days. The custom booth i built just to small needed to upgrade even though i kept the dayton i bought for a spare. Ignore the wavelighting side bar light lol.
  12. Def not getting this kit now. Not paying $40 for a 1983 kit just for a new box and decals. sheesh.
  13. International scale modeler aka Paul ISM
  14. I was like that myself, and I've thrown away whole kits because of it. They were cheap kits, and i wont touch my more expensive kits until i get better n better. Now that i have good paint stripper I'm not that afraid of making mistakes, and the perfectionist in me has died down. Here is a good example kit I've been working on lately has a interior tub all in one. I spent close to 3 hours taping everything off the best i could, and than i go to use a interior color, and he completely ruins the interior tub so i had to undo close to 3 hours of masking so i could strip it. Lets just say the kit would of went into the trash if i wouldn't of known or have any stripper that i use. What really urks me even more so than burning through a good clear coat is after taping you than spray, and take off all the tape and you missed a spot lol. You can touch up, but touching up doesn't look as good as airbrushed, and sometimes its in spots like no one would see but i know it's there, and it eats at the back of my brain. I'm not one of those "it's a closet don't worry about painting the inside no one will see" type of guys even though i did let that slide in the hobby room lol.
  15. Well with all things in life sometimes things happen for the first time that’s never happened before. You either figure out or get help to figure out why something happened. Even with spray bombs and brushes you’re bound to to run into a issue eventually - just the way it is.
  16. Only thing that sits behind me in my hobby room is a 92 inch wall with 6x 72 inch shelves full of LEGOS no need for a pic lol.
  17. Looks cool and stupid at the same time lol. How that works i have no idea.
  18. These came in today. Absolutely beautiful kits. Beautiful decals, beautiful instructions, beautiful detailed clean sprues. Rigging wire hasn't came in yet, and i forgot to put in the mr hobby paint lol got every color for each scheme I'm gonna do.
  19. It was 2K i don't remember if it hurt it or not, but it will freak you out if that happens lol.
  20. Yeah i stopped using his automotive body colors I just like his interior & engine colors. Automotive colors i will use scalefinishes, gravity colors(spain), splash, zero, and tamiya LP & TS.
  21. Probably is the thinner in the paint. Probably why I had a horrible time with his grabber orange gloss lacquer awhile back. I do have tamiya lacquer retarder, but I also have plenty Mr hobby leveling thinner #1 stable in my hobby room. I didn’t thin it much when I did thin it though probably added half a ML or so. Should be able to thin it little bit more without any damage.
  22. Yeah I have no issue with other paints inside interior tubs. I like MCW interior paints cause there nice, and do look the part when it’s on. They seem to just not like being sprayed in tight spots or the cob webs will start happening. I think this is why he recommends spraying wet coats and talks about how it’s difficult to make it run, but with a .5 needle and spraying wet coats I can make it run lol. If there sprayed on regular parts that aren’t close together the paints go on beautifully, and dry super quick. I think in future builds I’ll remember to thin the paint even more when spraying all in one interior tubs.
  23. Probably will have to thin it more. Doesn’t do that with Tamiya LP or primer etc. It did do it in the seat too now that I remember right in the middle where the seat can fold, but that was easy to clean. I did try knocking the PSI down to 15, but that didn’t work either that’s before i thinned a little. Usually my hobby room is 34 humidity and 77-78F, but today it was 50 humidity and 77F. He does recommend only wet coats with his paint, but I like to build up the coats before I do a wet coat. But doesn’t matter how I spray it the Cotton candy effect or spider webs still happen. I’m guessing his paint just doesn’t like close spaces like interior tubs etc anywhere there is close space.
  24. Well same thing happened with the MCW paint. Goes perfect on the spoon, but soon as i went for the interior tub it happened again just not as bad as it did the first time. I did add a little bit of leveling thinner to it, and same thing happened just not as bad. I may need to thin it some more, but i was able to easily clean it up this time unlike the first time. I'm going to contact the owner of MCW and let him know about the situation too, because i got 3 other interior colors along with the light grey and i haven't tried the other 3 yet so I'm hoping they wont do the same. It's no probable thinning i do it all the time, but i paid with shipping $45 for 4 paints i shouldn't have to be thinning anything that is already suppose to be pre-thinned perfectly.
  25. This hasn't happened to me, but i a modeler i watch on youtube. He uses 2 clear small plastic bottles one with water and another with mr hobby leveling thinner in it. We know what the leveling thinner is used for, but he'll use the water to spray down the body to get out polish etc. They do have labels, but he accidently grabbed the wrong one and sprayed leveling thinner all over a completed body that was 2Ked lol. Bottles where turned backwards, and leveling thinner looks like water, and had them both together so i can see how that mistake could happen.
