  1. SC-02 Paint Remover 500ml forgot about this one. $10 for 500mL
  2. Yeah i love plaza japan. I'll order from them when i can splurge and make up for the shipping.
  3. Yeah, and I'm not hating AMT or Revell etc because they do have some good kits and fantastic kits under there belt. I just like to give them flack unlike MPC - I rather build a kit from wood than open a MPC box lol.
  4. Yeah this is why i shop the evilbay and other online hobby shops. HL is pretty much trash except for a few things, and mom and pop shops i barely go to anymore cause I'm not paying $80+ for a japan kit sorry. I will go to hobby town more than any other shop cause they just have more to offer, but i do judge there prices based off online prices with shipping. There is another shop he cut half model car selection down and increased his plane kits guess he wasn't selling enough car kits. That's why i venture out of the car world and get into military stuff, ships, planes, bikes, big rigs and trailers, because cars just get boring after awhile even buying them lol. Also the only "new tool" we usually get from AMT etc is maybe a new bumper or new rims while still putting the sprue gate on the lip of the rims SMH. I also wish they would stop putting chrome in the kits to save time from having to strip that, but i know that will never happen cause not everyone does that.
  5. That's so overpriced. The stuff i listed before will take off anything dunno bout enamel cause i haven't tried it, but it can take off 2K clear with ease so I'm sure it would take off enamel too. Just seems to be out of stock everywhere at the moment, but i would buy scalecoat before i would that over priced testors stuff get more for you money. But always strain after your done stripping to re-use the product better.
  6. Spotted this while out doing my pepsi rounds.
  7. Yeah they cut corners and did it right sadly, but still got caught afterwards lol. Yeah a lot of stuff slides because as the ones here before me would say....it's part of the hobbyyyyyyyyy weeeeeeeeeeeeee. I think companies like AMT and some others need to slow down and take there time releasing kits. Nope kits left, right, front and center with hit or misses.
  8. Scalecoat paint stripper for plastic is another product. Scalecoat paint stripper
  9. wow that’s a steal man. Congrats on that one.
  10. Nice to see someone else that enjoys big rig kits, and that grand prix is a chick magnet, except 90% of these bimbo's these days has no taste so I'll say a cougar magnet instead XD
  11. I got that mythos awhile back on ebay for about $20. Haven't built it yet though lol. How much was that lambo?
  12. This product is what i use and it'll strip everything except enamel haven't tried that yet. The older the paint the longer it has to sit max is 13 hours. Max I've ever let anything sit has been 2 hours and comes off no problem without hurting the plastic. There is also another product that people were raving about on here while back, but i forgot what that product was. Not sure why it has thinner for coating clear on the label, but it's suppose to be paint remover on it lol. It'll strip 2K clear coat no problem too, and it'll strip fresh painted primer and color coat that's been baked for hours in bout 30 mins.
  13. These are the ones i got.
  14. What type of overhead shop light? Does it use standard E26 Edison socket or tubes? This is the site here https://www.waveformlighting.com/ you can hover over lights at the top and see everything they have to offer.
  15. No problem. Using high CRI bulbs weather it's 5000K or 6500K you'll never look at cheap store bought bulbs again. High CRI least 95 makes a HUGE difference makes colors come ALIVE and easier on the eyes too.
  16. I was that way with interior tubs even though i have few kits with full interior tubs sigh. Doubt AMT or Revell will ever go the route like tamiya and other with metal transfers. Sucks buying a PE set for $15-20 for a script lol. You mean like tamiya and aoshima etc? i don't think they are colored, but they are nice metal transfers though. LOVE seeing them in japan kits, and i think even trumperter does them as well with some kits and there out of china.
  17. I had a custom built 24 inch booth i built using the same dayton blower the 36 inch pace spraybooth uses. It was a good booth just ended up being too small just needed more space to move plus try to imagine painting big rig trailer kit in that size. I kept my dayton blower as it cost more than it did to build the booth i had so now i have a spare. But if you're like me than you'll want that 36" booth as it'll be the last you ever need for any model up to 33-34 inches long. It's pricey because he includes shipping in the price, and also look at it this way - it happens with fish tanks all the time you get a 55 gallon thinking its huge, but week later you're like man should of got a 75 gallon or bigger. Here are two pics of the booth the day i got it, and he does take about a good week or so to ship it out cause there not pre built least i don't think they are, and i got mine within 2 days after it was shipped out via UPS and packaging is pretty good too. Barbatos rex on youtube has a video of his he got as well if you wanna see a video of it. I would also recommend good lighting for it as well. I use waveform lighting bulbs Waveform Lighting bulbs there expensive but you get what you pay for and 95CRI and they do have the 60watt versions and they only use like 10watts. You can also use a light bar too whatever you fancy.
  18. This is what you're looking for but there out of stock. European Car Emblem Stickers (1:12, 1:18, 1:24, 1:43) Porsche, Ferrari, Lamborghini I think the hiroboy and alpha model resin kits come with them too, but that's pretty expensive just for an emblem.
  19. Probably so i know nothing about nascar lol
  20. Yeah that was the first time I've seen that build myself, and that's more skill than most people will have or care to have when it comes to a plastic model. While beautifully crafted that's just taking a plastic model way way to far and took him 4 years to do. Unfair comp if it was ever allowed at a show, and no longer a plastic model besides body and frame. He's a master of his craft and should make money off it instead of something to put on a shelf, but maybe he does?
  21. Those are really nice builds even though I'm not into nascar models. That #8 model is very nice, but the decal headlights is a big bummer.
  22. I use photo etch, and have some photo etch sets that cost more than most kits cost lol. I'm not really into opening doors etc, and i do enough scratch building cleaning up flash and mold lines ?
  23. I'm not sure about the kit as a whole, but i know the revell germany will have a better manual.
  24. Maybe someone will get one that'll have enough flash to parts ratio to warrant the price lol
