  1. Almost all automotive paints towards the hobby will be airbrush ready paints. Gravity colors(spain), Scalefinishes, MCW, MRP, SMS, Splash paints, zero paints, and theres loads more. Now for metal colors you got Alclad, AK, Green stuff world, and even the others i named makes metal colors. If you want the BEST airbrushed primer that would be Mr.surfacer along with either Mr leveling thinner or even rapid thinner as well.
  2. Hmmm would be tough because you have to burnish it down. Test on a small section of BMF. Spray it, apply it to a test part, and start burnishing it down and see what happens.
  3. That's a good idea, but the frame part is actually too skinny for that compared to the right side that was properly molded. I've seen folks builds on hobbylinc and seems they have the issue with there's too. Sucks too cause i only paid $20 for the kit at hobby lobby when my friend wanted to go, and the seller on ebay selling the cab for $17 with similar issue sigh.
  4. I know. I'm saying i assumed HE didn't prime because of what the can said. Probably thought you could get away without using primer.
  5. So I'm going to try and explain this the best i can, and hope someone has a solution on top of my solutions I've came up with. So on the cab the left windows bracing is very weak, and bendy, and not as strong and sturdy as the right window bracing. I've found these pictures on Ebay of someone selling the cab for the kit, but seems his has similar issues but not as bad as mine. So the first solution i came up with that i haven't tried yet was putting a popsicle stick behind the window bracing and tape it down form the back and front so it's straight, and than hit it with heat little at a time cooling off each time. It would still be skinny, and not robust as the right side's window bracing. So the other solution i figured might work would be using a plastic square bar 1mm or 1.5mm not sure of the size yet and replace the cab part with it because looks pretty much the same. Here are some pics from online and if anyone has any better suggestions I'm all ears. You can see in the first pic the left bracing has a slight bend to it from the sellers pic, but mines worse than that. The 3rd pic shows how robust the right bracing is, and sorry his pics aren't that good quality. The other pic shows the styrene bars.
  6. Well i was assuming you didn't prime because of the paint you used is a 3 in 1 type. Paint, primer, & sealer.
  7. Yeah I'm sure you can i think it's an acrylic. But the ultra is 2nd gen and can only find regular matt in 3rd gen. EDIT: Found the 3rd gen, but it's on there site can't find it any where else, and says Soluble in water, odorless and non-toxic so def acrylic.
  8. Got lucky and found this at walmart. Dang scalpers bought them all from the website, and selling them for $60+ on ebay a $24 kit smh.
  9. Got some interior carpet into the supra interior tub. This is zoomon's interior carpet, but i think it's the sticky felt material and i think it looks the part.
  10. That's really nice! Got a link?
  11. I'm confused? Are you talking about abteilung 502?
  12. I would take a pic, but I'm not at the hobby room right now. If i had to guess i have about 100 in the year & half I've been in the hobby. After i do my last big purchase from plazajapan once i get taxes - I'm going to be officially done buying kits, and just focus on better tools, and more paint. My hobby room is running out of space because of Lego and kits lol. I'm getting to the point where I rather buy paint, primer, tools, and other things instead of a kit that i like that might never get built. I'm still in the process of getting stuff to be able to actually display the models once built instead of just randomly sitting some where collecting dust.
  13. This is probably the best liquid mask you'll buy. Can put over any paint, any paint can be painted on it, and it comes up no issues at all and doesn't need water to remove which is weird. I came close to getting micro mask one time, but the shop owner warned me against it and recommended this stuff. I thought it was a sale pitch at first, but the stuff is amazing.
  14. There 2nd or 3rd gen? I've been eyeing this stuff for awhile myself, AK makes good products. Been wanting to try the satin and matte myself. Not sure about the 2nd gen but the 3rd gen i know needs thinning with there acrylic thinner.
  15. Yeah anytime you wanna add a link you can just click the chain icon next too " and than put in link by copy & paste and than put title of the link i.e name of product etc like this ....... Lindberg 1966 Buick Riviera
  16. Yeah them dayton exhaust fans are very nice. I got a spare one from my custom booth i built before i bought my peace keeper. If i remember correctly i paid about $200 for the dayton fan.
  17. I've tried it, but not in my 70's cause I'm only 33 lol
  18. Yeah that is weird lol.
  19. I wish they would just stop making kits in colored plastic to begin with. Grey & black no prob, but yellow, blue etc is dumb. Just save money and make every kit white plastic or cream like moebius. They should know there market isn't no 14+ kids out here buying these expensive kits and just give adults white clean flash free plastic, but that's only a dream though and not a reality sadly.
  20. You can get one from harbor freight if you just want the light n magnification
  21. Anytime i order anything straight from japan i use plazajapan.com LOVE them and never had a issue. DHL or fedex through them and get my stuff about a week and a half. Never heard of hobby search though.
  22. You’re gonna love that LFA kit.
