Lizzies look pretty slick in red, great job on the posable wheels.

What do you drive?

Just bought the newest addition to our fleet yesterday, an ‘08 Impreza hatch. It oughta be a great little commuter, grocery getter, and hauler for our baby. -
Upcoming Round 2 reissue news via Spotlight Hobbies

I agree. Hopefully a stock reissue is already in the pipeline. The stock wheels and tires in this kit look great when put on the ‘34 Ford pickup kit as well. It would really be over the moon for them to tool up a Fordor body, glass, and interior and make an actual Bonnie and Clyde release, compared to that AMT reissue of the ‘32 Vicky back in the ‘70s. How cool would that be? -

Yes, I thought it fitting. There are easy parallels to pull between the two. For example, instead of the 6000 SUX, you have a 6,000 pound electric SUV brought to you in part by strip-mining and transforming a region in some country far out of sight and out of mind into a desolate hellscape. The same consumer base justifying the reason to mutilate these far away places will carry metal straws though. Go figure.

I would steal two valve stem caps from each of their vehicles, super glue BBs into the caps, then screw them back on.

There is no formal script. He just regurgitates whatever he reads on the kit boxes as he’s showing them. You can tell that he did no research on the subject matter ahead of filming. That makes me roll my eyes more than his verbal crutches.

Thanks Dennis.

Small update, getting closer. The bed floor will be trimmed flush and then stained/painted from there. I still have floorboards and a steering wheel and column to construct.

That’s what he calls terrible? I’m curious to know what he has for a personal vehicle, lol. Yeah, those were developed from the engines they were putting in LR Range Rovers, those vehicles renowned for their reliability and low depreciation rates.

Rustoleum paints are terrible.
Smoke Wagon replied to James Maynard's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
Personally these days I avoid all of the 2X paints, and only go with their normal primers, normal flat-satin acrylic lacquers, and gloss enamels. Their gloss acrylic lacquers are always a bit and a miss, and their 2X stuff is only used on projects around the house that aren’t models. -
What’d ya end up getting? F-150? Does your service department see many 5.0 powered trucks given stuff like the belt-driven oil pump?

Man that sucks. I didn’t know they were threatening bans over that.

What about all the threads about the MPC Gangbusters kits and their taboo accessories? Or military builds with guns and cannons in the All the rest WIPs/under glass section? I’d say it’s just as goofy to ban all mention of gas stoves or lightbulbs or silverware, but it’s more serious than that; this particular taboo subject in our hands is what enables us to keep our freedom, so that we may have the right to talk about any of these things in the first place.

Did you try shaking the can before spraying? -
Yes, Touring, as Henry called them then. AMT also did a phaeton kit of the Deuce.
