  1. Doc I will keep some of my built models (one's with special meaning or I put a lot of time into)...but most end up for sale on ebay or given as gifts to friends. I take great pleasure displaying my completed models at the NNL West every year. Enjoyment comes from creating and building scale models, but not in collecting them My modeling experience is similar to a love affair, exiting while it's happening and when it's over, it's over...it is then time to move on to the next one. thanx Curt

  16. Here we go...the Lotus 79 under the skin Ronnie's and Mario's ride... Keep those Formula One models comin' thanx for lookin'
  17. Last completed model of 2011...1/20 Tamiya Martini Lotus 79 built as a follow up and comparison to Ronnie Peterson's Lotus 79 from Hasegawa Tamiya seems to have gotten a clue, the detail and fit in this kit is very similiar to Hasegawa and Fujimi offerings in the 1/20 F1 cars You have to get aftermarket decals to build a correct version of this model, half the sponsors and tire logos are not to be found in this kit..."signs of the times" more photos to come in following post thanx for lookin'
  18. and have more than one drill bit on hand...cuz they break real easy!!!
  19. Excellent job on one of Tamiya's tougher 1/20th F1 kits as you've noticed, the upper body does not fit well I 've got one 80% complete, I have to repaint...decals "went south" when I clearcoated didn't wait long enough and got a little to heavy with the clearcoat luckily there are aftermarket decals available Great to see F1 models on the forum, thanx for sharing
  20. Good Stuff Bernard!!! lookin' forward to seein them in person soon c'ya, buddy
  21. Many "kudo's" go out to others that helped make this CD possible... mostly to: Steve Allemand (fellow local car modeler) for scanning, creating the pdf.files and copying my complete magazine collection onto a CD. and to: Mike Quarterman for creating the magazine and giving me his blessing to make it available to other modelers thanx
  22. The main body of the car is covered in canvas, hence the textured finish...
  23. V-v-r-o-o-o-o-m!!!!!
