I did, but couldn't justify dropping $40 - $50 bucks on a "donor kit".
The Matchbox Porsche Speedster parts are not bad...not the quality of the Fujimi 356, but can be made to work
thanx
The 550 is my favorite Porsche and this is the one I've always wanted to build a model of:
Started with Jimmy Flintsones resin "550 Porche":

Take a Monogram '59 Chevrolet Corvette #2379, Model Masters Prowler Purple paint, a set of Fred Cady decals and a few modifications...this is what you come up with.
A model of the 1959 Purple People Eater MK III Corvette Jim Jeffords raced in 1959.
He won every SCCA B-Production race he entered that year except the last one.
more photos in next post...
Say it ain't so John...decals are easy
but when you can hand paint the graphics as well as you did - who needs decals
great job
and enjoyed talkin' to ya at the NNL West
Our club recently staged a contest..."build a model of a car from a movie and/or TV show" contest.
This was my entry...didn't win "jack", but it was fun to build a really ugly car
Here ya go...
Class of 2011 heh, buddy
great job, was great to see it at the NNL West
Bernard wants me to build a bigger salt flat/lake racer diorama base for next year...

I have got a great response to the CD's after Gregg put the ad in the magazine

Glad you are enjoying the CD

If I'm not mistaken...wasn't it good ole "George W" that bailed the banks and car company's out?
Not that I'm a big Obama supporter, but George didn't leave him much to play with...
my favorite was the boy peeing in the pool...
favorite car commercial was the Fiat Abarth...had me leaning o'er to lick the foam off her chest as well!
Here's Dick Rathman in his Hudson Hornet at Daytona...
Here's the model of his car...
Paint is from Scalefinishes, Ebony Black/Honey Cream
Decals are from Southern Motorsport
dirtied it up a little to make it appear as he had just came off the track
thanx for lookin'...
