  14. Great model Bernard...my favorite so far, lookin' forward to seeing it in February at least one of the "3 Amigos" is building something I've got a couple of projects on the workbench, but can't seem to get to'em c'ya great tutorial on metalizer paint from Dennis...
  15. I only keep a few of the kits I build. give some to friends and family...sell the rest on eBay. built kits sell fairly well on ebay usually get the cost of the kit back and sometimes more, especially if a couple of bidders want it. I build models, just not into collecting them those that I do save are in dust proof boxes in the garage, occasionally "She Who Must Be Obeyed" likes one and it gets to go into the house!
  16. Yah...what Art said just stunning John thanx for sharing!
  17. Yes, it can be polished with great results
  18. I've been using the Ultra Gloss Clearcoat over decals for years...have never had a problem with decals lifting as long as the 1st couple of coats of clearcoat are lightly misted over the decals. Have never had decals "yellow" using this product...prefer it over Tamiya's Clear TS-13, which is a good choice as well spray away!
  19. I've found the best way to get custom decals...is making them myself there a number of companies which have decal paper for inkjet and/or laser printers and the actual process of copy, pasting, printing and clearcoating the decals is fairly simple of course the difficulty and/or limitations arise on how complicated the artwork may be. trying to get the special decal for a particular car, etc can involve lots of research to capture the best image possible for making the decal...a tool such as photoshop helps a lot too goodluck
  20. This is a model of the Canon sponsored Porsche 956 Richard Lloyd Racing raced to a 2nd place finish in the 1985 24 Hours of Le Mans. It is the re-issued 1/24th Tamiya plastic model kit #24309, also used the Tamiya Porsche 956 photo-etch pack to finish. It had been a long time since I had built one of these 956's... you pretty much throw the paint, glue and decals in the box and shake - out comes a nice looking model... thanx for lookin...
