Thanx for all the compliments Raul...don't think I'm gonna part with this one nor the Troxel Top Fuelie for a long time just too much time and effort in them, plus I really like'em that doesn't happen a lot, usually when I finish a model - the love affair is o'er and it's time to move on to the next one c'ya

Question About Laquer Paints...
curt raitz replied to hungry4knowhow's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
Yes, Kragens, Checkers, etc...any autoparts store that sells paint Plastikote and Krylon are the major brands...Plasticote seems to be much more plastic friendly than Krylon, at least in my experience Tamiya's Primer paints (aerosal) work nicelty as well, just a bit pricier and harder to find,i.e. Local Hobby Shop or online Model Master has a primer for their lacquer paints also, never have tried though good luck -
Just posted this as my entry in the great dragster build off Competition Resins Body and engine parts, Slixx Decals (carbon fiber color is too light), Revell Top Fuel engine and it all started with the Revell "Mad Magazine" Funnycar... Thanx for looking...

Great tips...I've got an old #5 that must be a #10 by now When I've completed an airbrush session, I remove the needle, nozzle and tip, clean thouroughly with appropiate thinner, rub the needle with just a wee bit of vaseline and reassemble lightly (do not tighten anything til next session) be careful when the needle is not in the brush...the inards (spring & valve) can pop out - easy to put back in place play around with different settings/air pressure/distance, etc...nothing can replace experience - the more you play, the better you get! have fun c'ya on the 20th

Since There Isn't An F1 Category......
curt raitz replied to gregbbear's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
If you have not already...try Benetton's or Renault's website, they should have a link to F1 on their site You will probably be limited as far as decal choices out there can always explore making your own...can be done! F1 has always been my favorite, it's what got me building models... I'm sure todays F1 race cars present a real problem for model kit manufacturers and builders alike, can you imagine the amount of photoetch needed to build a new BMW in 43rd scale - oooftah!! good luck on your search.... -
