  1. I recall the Ford Louisville dump truck w/snow plow, Jeep Commando, Li'l Mixer, Ford C-900 tractor, and looking at eBay there are the Mack Cruiseliner, Peterbilt 352 (which Round2 reissued in late '12), "Vintage Police Car" (which appears to be a '27-ish Model T), '39 Ford Tudor Sedan, Autocar A64B, and the "Hemi-Sphere" F/E dragster, which probably shares a good number of parts with at least one of the other dragsters Round2 has reissued in the last few years. Granted, there are a number of kits released under the Model King label which probably won't be reissued by Round2 (all the Modifieds for example), but there's plenty of material to work from.
  2. I stand corrected...and I think I gave away some original issue valve covers.
  3. The Accurate Miniatures (later reboxed briefly by Revell) Grand Sport Corvette has that intake setup, Tommy. Some good pics of it here: http://www.modelcarsmag.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=85256&p=1108421
  4. And since they are already at the molding facility in China, it's easy money for Round2 to create new retro box art and reissue them. There were a few reissues under the Stevens International label, too, which I'm assuming were similar to what happened with Model King (Brett?), and we've already seen the Ford C-600 reissued again, albeit in the cargo delivery version instead of the stake bed and tractor versions. Just on box art alone, the Round2 versions are far more appealing IMHO: Looking at the "Millennium" line from RC2, we've already seen the '66 Nova, '68 Roadrunner, '51 Chevy Fleetline, Dodge Dart Sportsman, AMTronic, and Studebaker Avanti reissued by Round2, so I would bet the '39/'40 Ford Sedan, '55 Bel Air Sedan, and so on within the new 24 months.
  5. With the ten picture per post limit, I had to pick and choose, so I left a few out.
  6. Steve Goldman, most likely: http://www.modelcarsmag.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=67210&p=829238 As a good example of how RC2 didn't "get it,", feast your eyes upon this box art: "Bulldozer"
  7. Maybe?: Sales were so nice they reissued it twice??
  8. Apologies to Joyce Carol Oates, but there is a pattern here... Coming soon: What's next?
  9. Start with a flat piece of glass as a base, laying all the frame parts out, then use some weights to keep the rails flat on the glass. Start tacking the cross members in place with an instant adhesive like superglue, then use a liquid glue to permanently join the individual parts.
  10. I'd suggest contacting Ed Fluck of Drag City to ask if he still makes the '54 cab.
  11. I'm 99.9999% sure Shawn Carpenter is long out of the resin casting business. You might look on eBay and at local swap meets for some of his products.

  13. The Revell kit includes a 2.8/3.1L 60* V6 engine.

  15. There is a bunch of good info regarding all of the GM "Action Line" pickups/SUVs in Chris' excellent review topic here: http://www.modelcarsmag.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=69861
  16. Which scale is the '96 you're working on, Scott? 1/25?

  18. Yes. The S.C.U.B.A. equipment was deleted and subsequent reissues trended more toward then-current street rods-- wide tires all around, "mag" wheels, etc. The basis to build the Blue Beetle was sill there, but the hard to find equipment was not so easy to find. Anyone should be able to source the Cadillac valve covers from the previous re-issues, and those kits are dirt cheap.
  19. Maybe for the 103 people who would buy one, but in all honesty, it's such an oddball vehicle that I doubt most people even know they exist...not a good thing for possible future sales of a kit. A Corvair Rampside Pickup is the perfect candidate for an aftermarket resin trans kit, tough, using the soon-to-be reissued '69 as the main parts donor.

  21. See the '66 box for the explanation on the C-pillars...or this: http://www.corvaircorsa.com/fitch.html The aftermarket 5-slot wheels are 13" Ansen Sprint wheels.
  22. I'll throw in these two for their awful box art: This was the most recent reissue of the '67 IIRC from 2003:
  23. Please, oh please can I/we see that list, Art? I noticed in the article John G. mentioned the inventory test shots were not completed by Ertl, so judging by the number of hanger shots shown in the blog post image, it looks like they have maybe 125 or so, and likely not all automotive kits, so that leaves a significant portion of the tooling inventory on a list only, with no physical test shot parts to indicate their state of usefulness. I think we have a pretty good idea which molds are in China based on what RC2 reissued (and reissued, and reissued) and what Round2 has also reissued again, so we can probably count on those kits being in the Round2 lineup for the next two decades, but it's those "whoa, I didn't know that tooling still existed!" kits which interest me. Is AMT/MPC tooling which isn't already in China still stored in the warehouse in IA, or has it all been moved elsewhere once Round2 LLC bought everything from Tomy?
