Seriously, who here on the forum could even answer that question? If someone was seriously interested, they would know contact Gregg and ask him directly.

No idea. I just found the image at Stevens Hobby's 'site and added it. My guess is it will eventually be released if Round2 went so far as to release what info and images they did.

Reissued 1/25 '53 Studebaker Starliner 3N1 kit questions
Casey replied to '70 Grande's topic in Car Kit News & Reviews
Thanks, Brett. Is the sheet on par, registration and clarity-wise, with the reissued Avanti decal sheet, especially the Studebaker logos in the upper left-hand corner? -
Chrome Spray Paint Comparison
Casey replied to om617's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
That's pinned and posted in the Model Building Q & A section, but here are the Google hits: https://www.google.com/?gws_rd=ssl#q=site:modelcarsmag.com+chrome+paint Now is the perfect time for you to volunteer to be a moderator, Skip. You can put your better ideas of how things could and should be done into action, instead of continuing to complain about the way things are done by others. -

Reissued 1/25 '53 Studebaker Starliner 3N1 kit questions
Casey replied to '70 Grande's topic in Car Kit News & Reviews
If someone who has purchased this kit could post a pic of the decal sheet, it would be much appreciated. Round2 has only one image of the kit on their 'site. -
Thanks, Dave. I'm still here, just been busy. If anyone wants to volunteer, you can always contact Harry or Gregg.

The question wasn't if it would sell, but rather how well it would sell, or rephrased, would Revell sell enough '67 Pontiac GTO kits to justify the cost of new tooling? I say no, based partly on the existence of the MPC '67 GTO kit, and partly for other reasons. Same deal for the '65 GTO. AMT's kit already exists, so does Revell want to take the chance on tooling up an all new kit, only to have Round2 reissue their '65 GTO and take away half of the potential sales? Buicks? No, none of them. Monogram already did the T-o-t-L '70 GNX, so that's already in Revell's stable, and I don't see much demand for a GS, much less a lower line Skylark of any year. I don't ever forsee a day when John Q. Public walks into Michael's, a LHS, or scours eBay and chooses a model kit of '71 Buick Skylark over a '77 Pontiac Trans Am, ever. Maybe one time out of one-hundred. Same for a '65 442, or any GM '64 intermediate for that matter. Revell could've done any '64-'72 GM A-body variant since the two Cutlass convertibles were released, but they've chosen zero. There must be a good reason for that.

Like a '70 Chevelle SS? Market's kinda flooded on that one, with the 1/24 Monogram kit in the regular production cycle, AMT's '70, and the Revell SnapTite kit, too. A new kit of that car would be more than welcome, but would it actually sell enough units to justify the cost of all new tooling? Factor in that such a kit would relegate the 1/24 Monogram '70 to "Monogram Classic" kit status with their "around $15" price point, and Revell has three competing kits in their own kit lineup. Not ideal. My guess is the margin for tooling up a new '64-'72 GM A-body kit and turning a comfortable profit is slim, and what we view as slam dunks are closer to 3/4-length-court, over-the-shoulder heaves.

I've never seen an exploded view diagram like this before, but it definitely shares the same layout as the previous 1/24 G-bodies. While the listed 1/25 scale only adds to the confusion, we have no idea what the above exploded view diagram was used for nor when, so I'm content to just wait and see what happens.
-
I am surprised (well, maybe just personally disappointed) we haven't seen ANY '68-'72 A-body variations based on the '72 Cutlass tooling, but maybe it just wasn't a good seller.
-
My opinion is that it will be 1/25, all-new, and not based on the existing 1/24 Monogram Buick GN/GNX and/or '86 Monte SS tooling in any way. Based on what I've read posted on the G-body forums (yes, strictly hearsay), Angelo Valenti is the go-to expert on G-body Cutlasses of this vintage, and he owns the Olds FE3-X concept car ( http://www.oldsfe3x.com/ ), so I feel comfortable taking his comments (and even some second hand comments) regarding a future 1/25 Olds G-body kit from Revell at face value. Here's some more second hand info about the kit from the G-body Cutlass forum for those interested: http://www.gbodyolds.com/forum/showthread.php?705-The-Gbody-Culass-Model-is-Finally-Here!!!/page2 Just because a potential kit is researched, photographs and are measurements taken, and maybe even a leak/announcement is made, there is no such thing as a guarantee until the kit hits store shelves, if it ever does. The Revell '50 Olds took what, a decade from initial development to being produced, and I don't think it's crazy to think there are other kits like it. Sometimes the story and path to a kit's creation is just as interesting as the kit itself, so there needn't always be a pot at the end of the rainbow. Sometimes the rainbow itself is what's worth enjoying. Here's the exploded view diagram James mentioned, which was found on a different G-body forum IIRC. I think I've lost the original link to the source: My opinion/prediction with no inside knowledge is we'll see this kit in 2015. I think it'd be a great seller in 1/25 scale.

While true, the risk is all on the seller then. Sellers can offering cheaper shipping via USPS First Class International with minimal tracking once the package leaves the U.S., but the tracking isn't available to all countries, the Russian Federation for one. Each seller has to weigh the risk (package not received, product and shipping cost lost) versus the reward (Intern'l customers who buy due to cheaper shipping cost for them), and decide what's best for them based on what they're selling. When someone has a perfect system worked out for shipping every type, size, and weight of package to every location across the globe, and one which takes into account every possible seller and buyer, please let us know. It's just not possible, so eBay does the best it can for the majority of its users, and it seems to work very well for the majority of people who use eBay.

How's the engine coming along, Fred? The interior, Jeff?
-
Isn't the exhaust already finished and pre-fit for use with exhaust manifolds? I can't remember if that was done previously or not, but I vote for keeping it simple and sticking with x-mans.
-
^This. The Mustang seats look at tad bit too large, too. You could also scribe a deep line between the headrests and seat backs to better define each and trick the eye into thinking they are separate pieces.
-
Done yet? Chassis is looking good, too. Looking forward to the next update.
-
Yes, you can go into your Profile and (I think) you Album and edit the images you've uploaded here.
-
Yes. Once Carlos ships it all together to you Jeff, we'll keep it all together from this point forward, even if one member is only working on a specific area of the car. At some point, the engine will need to meet back up with the rest of the kit, so Fred let us know when it's ready to ship, please.
-
Correct, as Mark stated previously on the forum.

Send a PM to Gregg, please. He's the only person who can delete accounts, Michael.
