  1. The point I'm making is that is the picture that started this whole "What is the big surprise that Round2 is announcing" thread.
  2. Nowhere in that Hanger Pic do I see the Streaker Corvette.
  3. He had some good lines in it: "I don't want one position, I want ALL positions!"
  4. Ha that's funny as Chris Tucker is in The Fifth Element too!
  5. Yup, a really really smart film. One of my all time favs! Wiki has a great review of it.
  6. Nope, try again... you'll die when you fig'r it out. (not Die Hard) I have no idea about your quote.
  7. I'll give you a hint, Bruce Willis is in it.
  8. Nope, try again ?
  9. (from another of my all-time fav movies) "I am extremely DIS-A-PPOINTED!" (esp. considering the Round2 releases today)
  10. Well it's a Streaker but not the one I was hoping for. P.S. While it says it's a 327 the headers look more like big block.
  11. 25.00
  12. One of John Candy's great underrated roles! I was thinking it was a car movie like Crazy Mary and Dirty Larry or Two Lane Blacktop or Vanishing Point.
  13. I forgot to ask, did it come with the carbon fibre decals?
  14. Super Cool, Thank You David!
  15. That looks awesome! I have a Revell C5R "Compuware" still shrink-wrapped, what is this one?
  16. A 'Modeling Link' fer sure! LOL
  17. To keep this thread on track, how 'bout this quote: (picks up phone) "Get me somebody... anybody! (pause) and get me somebody while I'm waiting!"
  18. Mary Woronov was super hot in the movie 'Eating Raoul', a movie I've watched a few times (wink), a true cult classic! True story about how the Ramones got started... They started out by trying to find a way to sniff glue in the basement of their parents house. When asked 'What are you doing down there?' they replied 'We're starting a band', which prompted them to actually buy some instruments and learning how to play, to fend off their parents inquires. When their friends encouraged them to start playing local parties they became popular and the rest is, as they say, history. The honest-to-god true story.
  19. Cool, very interested. What motor is in the kit?
  20. A few 'Vairs in this list, I'll share my story of a '63 4 door automatic that I named Alex (I always named my cars and this one seemed more Male than Female). I didn't realize how rusty and 'Unsafe at any Speed' it was until I happened to notice the seat moving up and down when it went over bumps/railroad tracks/etc. Not much, maybe a few inches...! If you know anything about 'Vairs you know there's a tunnel down the middle that all the wiring and controls went, including the throttle linkage. Mine was missing the cover. One night me and the guitar player (I played Bass) were coming home from a gig about 3AM and, well, I lost control on a curve and ended up going through a plowed field. (as an aside, the factory recommended a minimum of 11 PSI difference between front and rear, more in the rears of course, which I didn't adhere to, 30 PSI all 'round!). After we stopped I noticed I didn't have any throttle, the ride through the field had ripped off the throttle linkage at the rear bellcrank. No problem, I told my bandmate to get behind the wheel and I'd open the engine lid, sit on the spare tire (located in the engine compartment) and operate the throttle from there. I told him to roll down the window and yell when he wanted me to speed-up or slow down. So off we went, him giving me instructions and me complying. We only had a few miles to go and we were going SLOWLY, prob'ly 30 MPH. At one point an 18 wheeler came up from behind. He went to pass and then slowed down to observe this hilarity! He prob'ly still tells that story. I just waved and smiled. However around this point I started to get a little woozy. The engine lid being up created a vacuum that sucked all the exhaust up and that was basically all I was breathing! I stuck my head up into the wind to get some fresh air but it almost wasn't enough. By the time we got to his place I fell off onto the ground gasping for breath. Another mile or so and I wouldn't have made it! I was in pretty bad shape. In a few minutes though I recovered and the next morning used some electrical wire to tie the throttle linkage back on and Alex made it another 6 months before the fan belt threw itself off and the generator kept going, burning up the wiring harness.... Poor Alex! HA!
  21. +1, Great Job! ?
  22. So my trusty old Samsung CLX-2160N color laser printer/scanner needs more parts than it's worth to bring it right. What is a good printer/scanner that I could use to make Decals? I'd rather stay away from an Inkjet but from what I've researched it seems the way to go. I still have an old Epson Stylus C88+ that werkt last time I used it (ten years ago!) but it's not a scanner. Apps I have are M$ Word, Visio and Publisher, all version 2010 running on Windows 7 32bit(keeps the baddies away).
  23. If you don't mind a little input the Headers go on last! I built one and I remember my buddy did one in the early '70s and we both needed to remove them during the build and install them last as they never lined up properly during the frame to body attachment. I also needed to put a lot of camber in the front axle to get the front tires centered in the wheel wells. Just an FYI you can take or leave. Good luck, I like what you're doing with it! Hope you get the issues worked out! ?
