  1. As I'm getting back into modeling again, I wanted to start small and easy. I built a couple planes (1/48 SPAD XIII and P-47) and was chomping at the bit to do some model cars again. Decided on a couple projects but needed to do some pre-work first. Picked up this AMT Blueprinter Trailer on ebay from a guy who had 3 of them but this was the only one he listed as 'Complete'. Somebody had done a decent spray job on it years ago and then put it away. While stored it got a little beat up but not too bad, mainly the fenders. Came with complete instructions and the original decals! METAL AXLES OR DEATH! Isn't that the AMT Motto? Ha!
  2. Thanx for that info Craig. I'm gonna contact him and see if there's at least a catalog or price list he can send me. If that happens I'll update this post.
  3. Is there a catalog or something to see what's for sale? I found this from 2019: https://modelcar.show/articles/replicasandminiaturesofmaryland ...and this from ??? https://public.fotki.com/crstan/replican-and-miniat/replicas-and-miniat/ and this: https://www.rocketfin.com/replicas-miniatures-maryland.cfm A little hard to determine what is available and it doesn't look complete.
  4. Thanx Steve, I bought a pair from the ebay link above as he also makes them without the Cadillac script. ...besides, I can always find pix of his stuff but can never find any way to purchase R&M stuff. I must be missin sumthin... brain maybe? ?
  5. I'm having trouble sourcing a 1/25 Caddy dual snorkel air filter, does anyone make one like this?
  6. And how long before we see a C8R?
  7. Good thing it comes with one, LOL
  8. Jeez, I thought this would'a been released by now...?
  9. Hey Zippi, the weathering looks awesome but I'd like to see more pix of how you did the rear end to accept those duallies. Also, did you do anything different to the front end or is it just the different wheels/tires up front that make it stand up more? I'm hoping to do something along the same lines on the 3100 I picked up. Great Job, Thanx!
  10. Actually I like the foil/heat shield you made, can't look much different than the 1:1 does.
  11. Looks Great! What size was the solder you used for the headers?
  12. Those intake stacks are amazing, and the wire looms. A lot of patience going on here, many kudos to you!
  13. I like that you're using the same circuit board holder I am. Used it to lay down decals on a P-47 I'm doing, werkt the treat! Anyway, Carry On! Love your work!
  14. Ha, I knew I wouldn't like the answer! ? This is the best I've done recreating a wood look. Many props to you! (Pun intended)
  15. Absolutely Amazing work! Can I ask what paint you used for the wood grain on the console?
  16. UMOs (Unidentifiable Mixing Objects LOL, Thanx!
  17. Well now that you say that I guess I don't know the difference between a 'wash' and the Tamiya Black Panel accent, I thought they were the same thing. Maybe someone here can enlighten me.
  18. I've used tiny screws left over from computer repairs. They seem to work okay, only use one though. Maybe I should try a few of them as it still take many minutes to get the paint mixed. I've also used a battery powered mixer (looks like a small frother) but can make a big mess if not done properly and you always waste some in the clean-up of it. I like those UFO thingies too, maybe I'll get some of those! EDIT: I couldn't find them on Spray Gunner, got a P/N?
  19. Impressive! How does it compare to Tamiya's, which I thought would be the 'goto' answer supplied here.
  20. OMG guys, Thanx for the lulz this morning, I needed that! Actually, I have some of those 'fuzzy things' but never thought of using them for applying glue, I will try that next time. ?
  21. I thought Gummo was one the Marx Brothers. https://www.marx-brothers.org/biography/gummo.htm
