  1. I’m definitely in for the Chevelle and the Cougar!
  2. This evening another horse appeared in the backyard. This time my wife and I tried to find the owner to no avail. I lead him over to the field beside our house and closed the gate. Don’t know who owns the field or the horse but I didn’t feel right about just letting him roam free. Guess we’ll see what happens tomorrow. You’ll have to excuse the lack of landscaping. Part of my remodel was replacing the septic system and field lines. Waiting on it to cool down before breaking out the skid steer. Heat index was around 104 today. Not working outside in it.
  3. There’s guinea bird in our back yard this morning. We don’t own a guinea bird. I’m sure enjoying watching him move about. Since moving into the new place in the country, we’ve had a horse, a cow, few dogs and now a guinea bird stop by. I’m loving this new life.
  4. I’ve got two or three Regals in the stash waiting to be built. I’m going to follow along. Even though that was one of my favorite bodies from back when NASCAR was worth watching, I never quite understood it. The Buick Regal and, to a lesser extent the Olds Cutlass front end reminded me of a rounded off brick. Especially on the super speedways. The Regal just didn’t seem as slick as a Thunderbird. Monte Carlo SS or the Grand Prix to me.
  5. Sitting in a ( @Tim W. SoCal side note, one of my favorite songs!)
  6. Ah yes, the never ending honey do list. in the words of Slick Willie clinton “I feel you pain”.
  7. That’s a very good question. Where I live things move at a pretty slow pace, one of those places where you don’t have to lock your doors. I thought about just taking it to the C/U and let them figure it out.
  8. It was the ladies credit union bank statement. Apparently she does her banking at the same C/U we use. I did take it to the post office and gave it to the Asst Post Master. He’s over the rural route carriers. We have a rural route carrier, live in the country.
  9. This has nothing to do with a package. A few days ago my stepdaughter, my wife and I received our bank statements from our credit union. We also received one for the lady that lived in this house two owners ago. I made a line through the address and clearly wrote “Return to sender, no one at this address by that name.” All of that in big, clear letters. Guess what I got in the mail today? Same letter marked “Return to sender……” WTH?
  10. Congratulations on your successful move. Even though I’ve moved numerous times, including recently, moving just plain sucks. Like @stavanzer mentioned, to American eyes the washing machine in the kitchen does look odd.
  11. Laughing with you, not at you! Wife has teenage pics of me with long hair. Now my bald spot and hairline are pretty doggone close! Back on topic, the one it release kinda sucks. May pick up a Cobra as I’m a blue oval guy but this release doesn’t really have me excited.
  12. @MarkJ, After giving it a second look and enlarging the photo I see what you’re saying. They still look very good.
  13. It’s looks great Mark! As always, I really enjoy your builds. Your gauges are awesome.
  14. Thank you. It was kind of funny, I was the only person that he really bonded with. He’d get in my lap and sleep or just hang out. He would tolerate my wife and others but that was about it.
  15. This is Tom, he was in charge of external security at our house in town. His mom showed up pregnant, had the kittens and cut out after weening them. Managed to rehome all but Tom who I really became close with. He disappeared about a month before we moved into our new place in the country. Still own the place in town and I go by to see if he’s there. Even the neighbors are looking for him. Guess I’ll need another mouser out here in the sticks.
  16. You may be right about the Jet Way decals Mark. Are those old school Hedman decals right below “The Real Thing” decals, to the right of the Champion decals? One thing that seems to be a constant on all Bobby Allison owned cars is the use of Reed Cams.
  17. Back in that time period, NASCAR required the below decal on Cup series cars. I think that they were usually placed below the Winston Cup decal. On the YouTube capture, the colors don’t look right for it to be a NASCAR race car decal. Ag, it’s just to fuzzy to make out but I thought I’d throw it out there. Edit; I said “required” I’ve been looking and have seen cars of that era with and without the NASCAR race car decal. Additionally, some had it above the Winston Cup decal, some below.
  18. I don’t know Mark, the one below looks like a Zoom decal to me. That said, I know that you’ve done your research.
  19. I’ve ordered a bunch of model kits, bass fishing tackle and stuff for my boat off of eBay. Never had an issue. Sold two bass boats on eBay, again no problem.
