  2. It's looking really good!
  3. I'm looking forward to seeing what you do with this. You're right, it does have the look.
  4. Thanks Keef! Born and raised in Knoxville, lived in Nashville for 15 years. Retired in 2013, moved to Arkansas. GBO, definitely a VFL ??
  5. I remember back in the 80's when some of the fiberglass companies were making Corvette bodies for late model dirt cars. A guy from Bruce, MS (Jerry Inman #D-7) ran one for a season or two. Your's is an excellent representation of that era.
  6. Excellent work, well done!
  7. I saw that Stapleton YouTube video too, it was really informative. I enjoy his channel. Looking forward to watching over your shoulder on this build. I always liked the independent guys. Afraid that is an era that is gone in the NASCAR Cup Series.
  8. Thank you for building and posting this model. Well done! This is my favorite era in dirt racing, asphalt too.
  9. Looking good and welcome back to the hobby. Those Bud Moore owned Ford's always looked so good. I took a 30+ year hiatus myself. Been back around two years.
  10. This replica of your brother in laws car is amazing. Your detailing, everything is a work of art. In real life I'm a Steve H too!
  11. Well done! One of the best I've seen. Your barn, the Mustang and Gremlin all look real. Your weathering is spot on. Thank you for showing it.
  12. Beautiful paint and the decals look great!
  13. Thanks for the help Dan. Right now I'm operating off of only my phone. I am going to get a new lap top at some point this year. Hopefully then I can figure it all out.
  14. Thank you and I don't disagree about the picture size. I don't know how to reduce picture sizes from the gallery on my phone.
  15. Great looking cars! I'm a big Red Farmer fan, Minions too!
  16. @Safire6 and @Horrorshow, First thanks for looking. I used the Monogram Terry Labonte Kellogg's kit, it's the correct body as far as I can tell. I did lower the ride height a little. The paint is Rust-Oleum gloss "real orange" sprayed over white primer. I took the decal sheet and a picture of the Sterling's 1:1 race car plus wore a TN Vols shirt to Walmart and got the closest color I could find. The decals are from 3 Amigos. In retrospect I wish that I had hit it with a coat of gloss clear. Maybe next time. Thank you for your kind comments, Go Big Orange!!! Edit; The Terry Labonte Kellogg's kit is Revell Monogram #85-2479. The Jeff Gordon Revell Monogram kit #85-2476 would work as well.
  17. It's March 18 2024, still don't have my copy of #223.
  18. This truck is so impressive, as are your skills. Thank you for posting this. Steve
  19. What decals did you use for the numbers? The font looks great.
  20. I'm going to preface this by saying that my wife grew up in a drag racing family. Her dad owned and drove dragsters all her life. He ordered a lot from Honest Charley's. Anyway, this year on Valentine's day, in addition to flowers I got her an Honest Charley's t-shirt and a Moon T-shirt. She liked the t-shirts a lot more than the flowers! My grandchildren live in Knoxville, TN where I'm from. We go back three or four times a year. Next time we're stopping at the Coker Museum!
  21. Great job on this car. I always liked the Bahre Racing entries.
  22. Great job on this! Thank you for posting it. The 1:1 is one of my favorite race cars. Like @bobss396 alluded to, the story behind Cale's win is part of Daytona 500 history. RIP Cale
  23. Thank you Duane, I couldn't have completed it without your hood!
