Suyata Sopwith Camel & Pilot.
TNT replied to PatW's topic in All The Rest: Motorcycles, Aviation, Military, Sci-Fi, Figures
That is why i love modeling, it covers everything. And no matter what we choose to build to me it is all art. And that is a really cool piece. Looks great and the pilot looks ready to go. Good stuff. -

Man i miss the sunday funnies. I always imagined my self in those comics. That is a great piece. Dedication. Great work of art. -
Holy BLAH_BLAH_BLAH_BLAH. Is that from scratch? What ever it is it is amazing. I love trains and cable cars. So much history. I did save the videos to watch later. When the kids were younger and we did a lot of traveling, we would ride the trains if they had them in town. Not sure how many trains we rode. Of course i would have to throw in a history lesson. It was not always about early transportation but about craftsmanship. Folks actually using saws and tools, hot rivets, and such. I better stop i could go on and on. Great work.

This was not a bad kit. I think this was my 2nd figure build. The hand is molded on the scythe and kind of out of scale. The hour glass has a pin and socket to join the pieces i think like the lap joint would have been better. But it looks good up on my shelf. Again brush painted and hobby paints. I am liking water clean up. Pics posted out of order so i need to figure that out.

What would YOU like to see as a model
TNT replied to JeroenM3's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
So many cool pics on here. And i would have to buy a lot of them. I would like a 72/ 73 triumph spitfire with no bumperettes. And some high end 4 doors, even a genesis just something in a newer high end 4 door. And station wagons. Wish they would reissue the sky view G.M. not sure it was a box kit or a resin kit but it was done. -

Would love a new wagon kit. Even a plain jane 72/73 ltd kit. -
Wow. Insane detailing. Great skills. That blade is my favorite part as far as detailing goes. I thought it was real. Truely a great looking piece of art.

That is way cool. You had the sense to keep it. Others may have looked at it and tossed it. I like pieces like this, you can hold it and look at and almost see some kid building it. On a wooden porch with the dog near by. Maybe the kids mom telling him to be sure and clean up your mess. Or maybe dad coming home and seeing his son building it and asking if those are his tools and that the kid better make sure they go back where they belong. At any rate from an era long gone by. Maybe your uncle was building it and looked to the future hoping someone or some kid would find it and think of him and that great era. Who knows maybe it was like a piece for a 4H competition or show. Yeah my imagination gets the best of me at times.

Thanks. I have some thin tamiya tape. My paints are velejo and createx. I may have to practice airbrushing camo. I was using a pasche h but moved up to a iwata eclispe which is so much better for freehand lines. -

Awesome. That is one of the great planes. What did you use to mask the camo? And which paint manufacture did you use? I am working on a A10,my first plane in a long, long time. Thanks for any info. -

Hello all, name is tony wife is tina hence TNT. Been together since 86 married in 92. Daughter born in 96. Son born in 92 passed in 2019 from cancer. Runs in the family. F.A.P. or Gardners syndrome is what got me started in modeling. In 72 my moms mom passed or nanny as i called her. Guess a DR or someone told my parents i needed something to take my mind off of passing, so my 1st model was tom daniels fire enginenow i think it is called the "fire iron". Been in and out of models since. Even while in the army i built a few. This last time i went all in. Bought air brushes and other stuff. Been buying more than building lately. Went through a figure building stage the past year or so. Did 7 years active army and a couple reserves. Was a plumber for 26 years. Then a casino tech for 5. Then forced into disability. That sucks. Luckily my wife and kids support me in my hobbies. Think they like mostly because it makes shopping for b days and holidays easy. They ask what i want, i say a model, or paints. Then i either order on line or go pick up.. i mainly build 1/24 and 1/25 cars and trucks. Do have a A10 warthog W.I.P. and a vietnam era APC. think they are both 1/35. Always looking to improve my skills, lord knows i can always use help. Never could understand why one build goes perfect start to finish and others mess up and end up in the box back on the shelf untill i feel like starting over. If i could have one car it would be a 67 impala 2 door convertible or hard top. If i could have 2 cars the 2nd would be 67 or 68 ford 7 liter convertible. Born n raised in Louisville ky. Wife xame home and said" i am pregnant", told her thats it we are getting the hell out of Louisvlle. Moved to the country in southern indiana, bought 10 acres, lived in a mobile home for 7 years then built a house in 2001. Did gave my colon removed in 99. That was a major pain. And i reckon that is enough about me. But any questions just ask.
