Stock up on Humbrol Paints now!

That's why you should store them upside down. -
Stock up on Humbrol Paints now!

They work best when you store them upside down, heat them and stir them for at least five minutes before use, and thin them with proper enamel thinner. I still use them extensively for detailing and painting pretty much anything that isn't a body. Yes, with brushes. They are very densly pigmented, especially their reds provide marvellous covering. Reds are often quite scumbling, not so the Humbrols. Spray painting them was always though, I gave up on it after a few unsuccessful tries. -

Only the spray cans are made in Manchester. The tinlets are made in London and went up in flames. -
Any body watching Barrett-Jackson ?

I love to watch this stuff. My favourite is Mecum on the day they flog the chod for normal mortals. -
Not sure how relevant this is to car modelling in the USA, but the Rustins warehouse caught fire about a week back sending nigh on all the stock of Humbrol enamel up in smoke! http://www.insightdiy.co.uk/news/rustins-paint-factory-warehouse-destroyed-by-fire/6012.htm

Sacrilege or really cool? Hmmmmm...

I wasn't either. Until I sat in a Tesla S in Ludicrous Mode, that is. -
The original, admittedly tough to build, Revell '56 Chevy 2-door sedan included 150, 210 and Bel Air trim, at least externally.

For forty years I've been told that from a business perspective it isn't possible to tool up a new kit, let alone when you produce it anywhere within civilisation. Now there comes a guy who simply does it. My mind truly is a boggling one. Sadly I couldn't care less about stock cars, but I might buy one just because it exists. Who knows, maybe I end up with the Blue Mauritius of all kits, if I go by what the people say who worked in the industry three decades ago.

I mean, for half a century, there was nothing, I repeat, nothing, that could beat an American Muscle Car in straight line performance. Now, whether you like it or not, with this electro chod, King Kong has arrived. -

Putting electrickery with Ludicrous Mode into a 32 Ford sounds like fun in tins, though. -

The only actual question I have is whether it comes with Ludicrous Mode, which is the only raison d'etre for electric cars. Or is it just a milk float on steroids? -
Why no Corvette C7 Z06 or Grand Sport model kit?

Are they running for president next? -
That "Farm Tractor Series" thingy makes me wonder whether more tractors are planned. Tractor restoration and collecting appears to be quite popular in Germany, so it does make sense in a way. I guess we'll see at Nuremberg.

Anyone remember these? The "Johnny Comet" strips by none other than Frank Frazetta. -
The Delray (sic) series only came out in September 1957, as a 1958 model. The Revell '55 is available in two flavours - a Bel Air Sports Coupe (hardtop) and a Bel Air convertible. The relatively contemporary (I think 1990s) AMT kit is a Bel Air 2-door sedan and the old Trophy Series Nomad has seen countless reissues over the decades. MCM makes (or made) a resin transkit of a Bel Air 4-door sedan for the AMT 2-door sedan kit. There also was a 1/24 scale Monogram Bel Air Sports Coupe kit (not the Badman), which shouldn't be underestimated if you aren't a scale bigot. [/anorak mode]

Needs an RWB kit. -
Yes, but you'd end up with an ugly seam between the roof and windscreen header if you followed the instructions. As far as I can see the best thing to do is to throw away the instructions straight away. It looks to me like you can assemble the entire body, do your bodywork and painting, then mate it with the chassis in the usual manner. Interesting car though, it was the last Opel with body on frame construction and it has a Dubonnet front suspension.

Too bad they don't release a kit of it, huh?

I might use it to make a different movie car, from a real movie. Yes, I know, 1947, but who cares?

Sadly I don't have the model here and given its crooked scale likely never will.

This is the daftest thing I've seen in a long time. I love it!
