  1. And for all you pessimists, naysayers and doubters, this is going to be a full detail injection moulded plastic kit with rubber tyres. Yes, this is possible outside the United States.
  2. My uncle and mentor when it comes to driving participated in that Olympic Rally, which was overshadowed by those infamous tragic events. Research it yourselves, Werner Thoma with co driver Hans Dumler, Porsche 911S. They finished 25th. I think there isn't a single form of motorsport that's Olympic nowadays. O tempori, o mores. I was an eight year old at the time, hospitalised for a trochanter avulsion fracture acquired in one of those stupid and ridiculous non motorsport forms of sports they force you into while you are at school, which should be made illegal on a general principle.
  3. It's much easier to play with it when the wraps are off.
  4. By Jove is this revolting. I say. I say. What, what. Having said that, it's still marginally better than preparing tea by throwing boxes of it into a harbour basin and then stubbornly refraining from modifying the process for meanwhile 245 years, like it is customary in a country south of your's. I despair.
  5. Is that roofline correct?
  6. I have a 1/43 scale white metal kit by Western Models. There are 1/18 resin models MiC for a lot of money. I appreciate that a 1/24 scale plastic kit will never be forthcoming, but a resin would be most appreciated. I briefly owned a real one last century.
  7. I have seen so many of them.
  8. Monogram '39 Chevy Sedan Delivery. And the Heller Renault TN6C Paris bus came in a nasty shade of toothache green.
  9. Would you please allow me to use that as my signature? Although, prices for model kits are too bloody high, now that I think about it.
  10. We can always dream. How about Revell freshly tooling up 1/25 FEDs with 2018 technology... Until that happens, I'll have to make do with what I got.
  11. Fact is that when you want to do FE in 1/25, then MPC/AMT are the only games in town. I actually don't find them that bad considering all TF kits need a lot of tweaking to look right. Dragsters by their very nature aren't an easy genre to model, hence I'll only ever have a very selected few.
  12. You can't do this in Europe, since there are established public rights of passage. Basically anyone has the right to go anywhere.
  13. Which ones are you referring to?
  14. Those spectators sadly are all too often a bit too included. Or better, they often include themselves a bit too much. Crown control has been a huge problem in Rally sport from its inception. I deliberately selected a vid where nobody got seriously hurt. There are others out there.
  15. That's exactly what I have in mind, use the decals on an MPC rail. I had no idea someone makes replica decals, it would be easy to scale them down.
  16. My pleasure and many thanks for your kind offer. I'd be interested in a scaled down version of the ultra rare 1/16th scale Dennis Priddle fueler Revell UK once did. But that's a long shot I understand.
  17. Decal scan attached.
  18. Thread title says 30s era. It doesn't say anything about which class of car.
  19. Has anyone mentioned the MPC '32 Chevy yet?
  20. AMT did a load of Model Ts, Model As and for decades their Model Bs were the only game in town. They also did '34 and '36 Fords and the '37 Chevies.
  21. ICM announced more upscalings back at the 2015 Nürnberg Toy Fair, including some of their lorries. Sadly nothing came of it, they opted to do the Ford T and its spinoffs instead.
  22. I'll see a friend this weekend who has a super duper scanner. I know that's a lot to ask from a modeller, but please be patient.
  23. No, but I can send you a scan so you can have your own printed.
  24. My youngest asked me that once. I replied no, it was forty shades of grey.
