  1. A pro built model is a pro built model if it's built by Steven Guthmiller. Or Paul Hettick. Or Juha Airio. Because compared with those gods, I'm just an ordinary clown.
  2. The chassis and gearbox could work, although the Imperials had their own chassis, not a stretched version of Chrysler's. However, '59 Imperials didn't have Hemis.
  3. Sorry to be such an anorak, but contrary to popular folklore, Kelsey Hayes was never a supplier to Chrysler Corporation. The wire wheels used from the late 40s to 1966 on various Mopars were made by a company called Motor Wheel. The 'lesser' divisions shared the wheels used, but the ones for the Imperials were always bespoke (pun intended).
  4. Errr, that's the stand of a German model shop.
  5. I just hope they aren't surprised. Since the takeover it's increasingly difficult to buy their wares and to boost sales they don't show up at trade fairs?
  6. Opel Admiral. It's actually an ICM kit, like the Ford T.
  7. Right. The countdown for the Nuremberg toy fair has begun. It's 70 years old this year, exactly like Porsche. As a first teaser, have Solido's 2019 catalog, just published: http://www.solido.co...s/catalogue.pdf Here is the list of exhibitors: https://www.spielwar...php?id=7916&L=1 As always my agents will be on site and I'll avail you all the info they report back to me.
  8. It did indeed have whitewalls in the film.
  9. Is it only me, or is the bonnet (hood) wrong on these?
  10. Why do I hope that's fireworks?
  11. This is my 1967 car. Note total absence of Flower Power, strangely enough. Being first registered in Paris, it miraculously escaped the May 1968 Flower Power celebrations there as well. Although one could hardly call it a race car, they have been raced. A very nice 1/20 scale kit was made by Heller, which was later reissued by Union.
  12. You are a sick puppy, but you shall have your Stomachacher once I'm King.
  13. I gather you don't appreciate my Elon Musk approach?
  14. Late 70s Jo Han Cadillacs and the Jo Han '68 Chrysler.
  15. Licensing can't be that big of an issue, since Maseratis are readily available as ready made models.
  16. Airfix's Maserati was an Indy.
  17. I cannot be held responsible for this. Plastic is carefully stored in my dungeon, I would never throw any of it into the oceans. Plastic recycling is a myth, though.
  18. The pair that least matches the box art, of course. I'm running Revell, remember?
  19. The Ghibli was also in my dreams.
  20. Hey, not for that, m8. Wait until they charge you postage for them. They all weigh a metric shitload.
  21. If I ran Revell, I'd first reissue the '62 Mopar kits and watch with relish how you ugly lot smash each other's heads in to get them. Then I'd release variations of the '59 Caddy and Chevy, such as a Fleetwood 60 Special, an Impala flattop sedan and a Biscayne four door sedan. Then I'd have a 1/24 scale Borgward Isabella newly tooled because Germany and I'd have to somehow finance my expensive - errr - lifestyle. Then I'd have the Duel truck and Valiant tooled in 1/25 and issue them in an ultra expensive set just because I'm cynical. Then I'd have a Greyhound Scenicruiser and a Büssing D2U tooled up in 1/25 and 1/24 respectively. Then I'd tell those military modelers where they can shove it for all I care and take all military paints out of the portfolio. Give peace a bloody chance. Then I'd have a 50s Diner tooled up in 1/25 scale. Then I'd supplement the tractor series with a Lanz Bulldog. Because I could. Then I'd have as many 57-60 American finned monsters tooled up in 1/25 scale as the styrene granulate supply permits. Then I'd say, see, I told you so for 40 rotten years.
