Very nice work till yet

Thak you for the tip Ryan. There is a link to a good video on YouTube. I printed the wheels with a photoetched mask. It`s not perfect, but for me better than the decals. And I continued the rollcage and the exhaust of the motor.

Nice color and finish.

While waiting for my aluminum parts, I started my first NASCAR kit from Salvino's JR Models. I'm a bit nervous about all the decals and whether they'll fit into all the joints and recesses without any problems. I'm especially thinking about the ventilation slots on the hood... How the choice and desire to build the model came about: My daughter lived since 6 years in South Florida. During our visit in fall 2022, I watched the playoff of the professional NASCAR series with her and her boyfriend at the NASCAR Speedway Homestaed/Florida, which took place on Sunday, October 23rd, 2022. The winner of the race was Kyle Larson in a 2022 Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 with number 5. I found this model at the homepage of Salvinos and I want to built this car. Abaout my first kit from this producer: It is not always immediately clear where a part belong to. The molding ist not perect(always a joy with round pieces). I painted the engine according to the instructions with 5 different metal tones. You should be able to remove the body at the end to look at the interior, but I don't trust to this option. The biggest setback for me was that when assembling the interior, the hole for 2 pins on the first part (which was actually a good assembly specification) was wrong by almost 2 millimeters. Thank God all the parts were "only" fixed with superglue and I was able to break them apart again. After assembling the engine, I was able to test the 6 fixed points on the floor plate that were intended for assembling the whole interieur... and it fit exactly. I hope you understand my explanations in English. I write it in parts with the help of Google translator to practice the language for my next visit in Florida.

My parts from mrmodel finally got through customs and arrived yesterday. When there's time again and at my workbench is a little more space, I'll move on to the engine. My complete order The engine and my new parts for it The Charger is nearly ready, but the weather is fine and so I`m not in my basement for modelling

@Nicholas I looked for a color in the car accessories store that was close to the one at the kit box. It is a can from Motip with the color number 51300

Now it went a lot further. The interior is finished and the axles/chassis are installed. A big challenge was assembling and painting the grill from a total of 6 etched parts. The carburettor and air filter were shortened so that the hood closes. The taillights also had to be re-chromed because there were up to 3 sprues per light on the rear edge. Now there are still a few parts missing in the engine compartment and some etched parts for the exterior design. The pulleys for the second engine are currently on their way to me from Brazil.

A nice M3. This was a great car. I like it. In my stash is the racing version from the producer Nunu. Before I begin the kit, I‘ m waiting for 3D printed rims from a guy. -

Your painting looks great. -
I did some small steps forward: -the sidewalls of the interieur are ready -the dashboard and the steering wheel in wood look -photoetched sun visors with a mirror made of bare metal foil -the rims with aluminium tire air valves from MrModel. They are good to see in painted rims. I sanded the tread of the wheels with a rough sanding stick and the sidewalls with a fine one. I think that looks realistic. Now I have to apply the red decals strips to the wheels

Revell 1971 Boss 351.... Special Order "Bright Orange"

@SpeedShift the Super Chrome from AK is really good to spray. I brushed the first parts with my airgun. The last 2 evenings I applied the bare metal foil for the window frames and used Molotow chrom pens for the lines at the rear of the car. The rear bumper is painted with Exreme Chrom. At the picture the shiny surface is not so good to see than in the reality. The exhaust pipes are bad. Square, the end not open and at both sides signs from the mold. I opened them with a round motorized cutter and painted them in chrome and black inside. Now I have a choice between 3 different rims and wether I should use the red stripes on wheels. The right ones are similar to the rims of my Mustang Boss 351 from Revell (a new kit I bought today). I think I prefer the middle rims with the red stripes and paint the wheel caps in a not so shiny chrome. What do you mean?
