Thank you fer yer comment. Paint is nuthin fancy...Tamiya TS14 gloss black covered with Testors high gloss clear enamel, both shot outta the can. No sanding or polishing, just waxed after the enamel cured.

This is what I use for cleaning my brushes, the Silicoil Brush Cleaning Tank. I have one tank filled with Lacquer thinner and one filled with Mineral Spirits. These tanks work very well, you simply run the brush across the coils and the brush is cleaned and what ever comes off the brush settles to the bottom of the tank. They can be found at Hobby Lobby.

Simulating thin whitewalls on tires
Mothersworry replied to Mr. Metallic's topic in Model Building Questions and Answers
Here's what I use...an old cassette player with a wheel glued into the capstan. Mount the tire, hit play, apply the brush loaded with acrylic paint. The Talladaga and Dart tires have been done using this technique. -
My '98 Mustang GT Coupe that I bought new in July of 1998. As of October when it wuz stored fer the winter it has 10,630 miles. The car has never been in rain, snow, salt, or in dirt and is almost completely original. The model is a AMT 1997 Mustang GT coupe modified to '98 specs.

Munster Coach and Grandpa's Dragula...built from original issue kits alotta years ago. Jimmy Flintstone gave me the Herman and Grandpa resin figures.

Thank you fer yer comment, yup, some of Jimmy's stuff can be a bit of a challenge. But not in this case, the master for this kit wuz 3D printed and is quite well done. The kit includes the options for display with the various features deployed or stored such as the front and rear rocket launchers, the front and rear gas guns, the "scanner" mounted in the trunk, the "tire track sweepers" and the various headlight configurations. It's a pretty nice kit. Everything fits very well, for example, the windshield is not glued in, it is set into a very precise channel and simply snapped in. I did change the wheels and adjust the ride height but that's about it, except for the usual resin kit clean up and dealing with the layering lines in 3D parts it went together quite well. Interestingly, the way the kit is designed adding lighting would be very easy and by using magnets and thin metal or pins so the various optional features could be changed from stored to deployed.
