  1. I have been looking for a set of correct wheels/tires for the Fujimi 1968 GT40 P1075. I found LeMans Miniatures has a set, actually 2 sets; ACW124005(1968) and ACW124002(1969). They show a photo of the ACW124002(1969) kit, but not the other. Does anyone know the difference between these 2 kits? The ACW124002(1969) sure looks like the 1968 wheels/tires. Am I missing some subtle difference or the ACW124005(1968) completely different? Not sure which to get for this vesion of the Fujimi kit. http://www.lemansminiatures.com/uk/produit.php?idproduit=68&sessionid=282065408542ddc3d2f3f6 http://www.lemansminiatures.com/uk/produit.php?idproduit=71&sessionid=282065408542ddc3d2f3f6 thanks
  2. I like it. Looks like a cross between a C7 Corvette and a Miura with a bit of Aventador thrown in. A nice change from the spooky looking Veneno.
  3. I think Norm has dropped his Ferrari line of parts. HRM has a few pieces; engine and tires, maybe more.
  4. KA Models has a wheel set for the Italeri kit http://www.ka-models.com/index.php?route=product/product&path=35_52&product_id=200 Not sure if their which photo-etch sets fit the Italeri kit KA and Hobby Deisgn have one for each of the Revell or Fujimi kit. AcuStion has a pricey full detail set including wire wheels, again not sure if it fits the Italeri. I am building the Fujimi kit and have both the Hobby Deisgn and KA Models photo etch set and both a beautiful. the Hobby Design kit has turned aluminum shifter and screws for the headlights. KA also has turned aluminum mufflers etc for it. I need to order an engine from HRM. I am having trouble finding a set of Wire Wheels for the Fujimi kit as the 3 or 4 different sets that were made are long out of production.
  5. The paint looks great. If you want a slow lacquer thinner try Mr. Hobby Color Leveling Paint Thinner. I had trouble trying to find a good thinner for touchup lacquers from paintscratch.com, it was always drying too fast. I tried the Color Leveling thinner and the paint stayed sticky wet for a while after spraying, finally leveling out to a wet look shine. I tried it with a nail polish with similar results. This week I will finally be spraying a 1956 Nomad using these thinners, did a bunch of test sprays until now.
  6. I picked up a 1/24 diecast super bee on eBay a few years ago for the tires and steel wheels. They look great on the Monogram Super Bee. I picked one up a for a couple dollars. I think it was made by Motormax, but I would need to check to be sure.
  7. Missing Link has them http://www.ebay.com/itm/Resin-1968-73-Dodge-Charger-Coronet-Dart-Super-Bee-Police-car-Hubcaps-/291246346081?pt=Model_Kit_US&hash=item43cfa28f61
  8. James, I have seen your thread and Thanks. I haven't seen the Martin Senour brands in the Canadian Napa stores, only the Plasti-kote primers. I have used the Plasti-kote and dupli-color and like them. I have also used the Dupli-Color Paint Shop primer through my airbrush and love it, very fine like the Tamiya. I just happened to try Tamia on this project and ran out, bought the other gray, etc.
  9. Thanks, I will save this for the first coat on another project. I just need more for a final coat before paint, don't want to deal with a heavier coat at this point. I will get a can of the fine tomorrow.
  10. I just bought a bottle off eBay last week. The shop was in the UK and I received it in a couple days. http://www.ebay.com/itm/400763999439?_trksid=p2059210.m2749.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT
  11. What is the difference between Tamiya gray primer #87042 and Tamiya fine light gray #87064? I didn't know there was 2 different grays. I ran out of the fine gray and picked up the other gray thinking it was the same.
  12. How about modifying the Revell '65 z16 Chevelle into a Malibu SS without the Z16 trim or better yet tool up a '64 Chevelle body. Even better a '64 or '65 Chevelle 2-door wagon.
  13. Does anyone make a small block hood for Revell's 1967 Corvette hardtop/convertible?
  14. I know Harts Parts Resin has one for the amt kit. Not sure how that fits on the Revell kit.
  15. Any resin casters already doing or planning to do a Yenko L-88 Stinger hood for the new Revell '67 Camaro?
  16. I bought mine earlier this year, so I don't think it has changed.
  17. Well that didn't last long. After the loud "click" and thinking it was finally attached, it popped off again.
  18. Well, it just fell off again so I pushed on it hard and "click". All good now. I tried the second base, but it won't go down as far, maybe it needs a bit more wear to get down low enough. Curtis Thanks!
  19. Tape? I thought I lost a piece or Tamiya had some sophisticated locking mechanism. Low tech it is then.
  20. Am I missing something, is there a way to secure the Tamiya paint stand to its base. I find if I don't keep an eye on it and push it back down, it will eventually eject the stand and whatever is on the stand at the time.
  21. I have no luck finding this grille. I bought 5 of Charger 500 kits when AMT reissued them last (prior to Round2) and not one of them had the grille. Each had the standard charger grille.
  22. Even if Revell did just the '68 Coronet grille and modified the 1969 Charger into a 1969 Charger 500.
  23. How about fishing leaders?
