  1. Thanks for the info. Nice to hear for someone with first hand experience.
  2. Looking good. May I ask how this setup performs on your Camaro. I at one time considered the C4 mono leaf upgrade for my Nova. But holding out to one day upgrade to the expensive Detroit Speed front clip.
  3. This is a picture of a local car, actually I think the guy has two of these. The color is awesome and even more so in person.
  4. Here is some informative videos. Look for the HOK videos Dr Cranky does a few on thinning and spraying HOK paints. https://m.youtube.com/user/damncranky666
  5. I get mine at coast airbrush, just click the dropdown beside a color to get a selection of sizes. Eg http://www.coastairbrush.com/products.asp?cat=52
  6. I have two Iwata airbrushes, one with .3 the other with .5 and have no problems. But I buy the 2oz and 4oz HOK bottles unthinned and buy a quart of reducer and thin it out myself. You get so much more paint for the money doing it that way and you can control how thin you want to go.
  7. Nick was also correct. Here is the link the parts at Hart's Parts http://www.hartspartsresin.com/resin-parts-list/conversions 7th, 8th & 9th items down the page. I would go with the Hart's Parts, may be a bit more reliable than the eBay source.
  8. Is this the one http://www.ebay.com/itm/381218348308 . Auction just ended but check the same seller in a few days and another will show up. Kevin at Missing Link makes a nice set of photoetch for the 70 Coronet and also does or did do a nice Coronet convertible.
  9. HOK is in a category above MCW and Scale Finishes. If you are not doing a custom kandy or pearl paint, then HOK is over kill. I use Scale Finishes exclusively for my paint and their quality is outstanding. I do have HOK for those special jobs. It should be noted that HOK requires one of their basecoats to be applied properly and get the color you expect. Most of the shimrin pearls go over white, while their kandies go over silver or gold, or one of thier metalics. Get the metallic bases in the finer flake otherwise it will look like heavy metalflake in scale. Nice thing about HOK universal bases is that you can thin them with either lacquer thinner or urethane reducer depending on what you are using overall on the paint job.
  10. Just email keith at mofobow@hotmail.com with what you need and he is usually quick to respond. Last time I ordered they decals were going for $10 or $12 a sheet.
  11. Not sure how well the Johan 69 hood fits the amt 68 roadrunner. But Modelhaus does an awesome 69 6 pack conversion for the Johan kit, maybe you can use the hood on the amt 68.
  12. Relax, you couldn't be dealing with a better guy. It is Easter weekend, perhaps he is with family or out of town. You won't be disappointed. He is very quick to get orders out.
  13. Thanks for the information. I have seen those units, a bit pricey but I looks like it is worth the money.
  14. Thanks, but I am also wondering the setup you use, soldering station, iron, etc. I have a Weller WLC100 new in box and a tub full of solder, flux, tips and other supplies. I just havn't taken to first step and try it out. Not sure if the WLC100 is good enough.
  15. Amazing work!! This may have been asked before, but what do you use for soldering?
  16. Looks great and awesome color. Where did you get the rims from, they look good?
  17. Have you taken a look at the photo-etch sets from KA Models? They have 3 different sets for the newer Mustangs, one of the sets may have what you need. Also, email Keith Marks about the decals. He has done decals for the 2007 Mustangs and may do up a set of what you need. He does do custom work.
  18. RB Motion for the spark plugs. http://www.rbmotion.com Here is a link to the boots on Marco Cruz's Sox & Martin 'cuda http://public.fotki.com/MCRUZ1/1970-sox-and-martin-cuda/cuda-engine-wip-011.html
  19. Replicas and Miniatures of Maryland makes a set of black resin hemi plug boots. http://public.fotki.com/crstan/replican-and-miniat/replicas-and-miniat/100-3053-jpg.html
  20. WOW!! Amazing work on the seats. What do you print your decals with?
  21. Thanks! I was thinking there was more to it, but it turns out to be basic tools.
  22. I really like how you shaved down the rockers. What did you use to shave the rockers? They are so sharp and crisp. Looks great!
  23. Three sets of these were on eBay this weekend. All three went to the same person, so I hope it was a resin caster who will eventually repop these. I bid up to over $70 for the 1955 Suburban kit and lost it. Each went for around $70
