  1. I order zero paints regularly from Spot Model. Their service is outstanding and never had an issue. You may need to wait a couple weeks for out of stock colors, but they send you weekly status updates in those situations.

  3. Don't forget about amt/mpc 1969 442 chassis under any 68-72 GM A-body. I have used them under the amt 1969 & 1970 chevelle and johan 1968 & 1970 442.
  4. I used this method in the past, but it became a PIA and was tough to finish/polish around the handle. I have since modified this process by either cutting the handle off, modify and saving it for final assembly (if the handle is tall enough) or for shallow handles I grind them from behind until the handle falls off, fill the hole, finish handle as in previous process.
  5. How about Owencraft? Oops, didn't read the whole post and didn't realize someone posted this.
  6. I am with you there lol Actually, the rims in that picture look like the set that comes with the Revell '55 Chevy
  7. Sure would be nice if someone made some nice accurate carbs in addition to his awesome Q-Jets
  8. Last week saw a pearl white Ferrari F430 and a Porsche Carrera GT within 2 blocks of each other.
  9. I looked at the site for the subscription kits and I don't think they are worth it. If I was to spend that kind of money, I would get a large scale Model Factory Hiro kit which are amazing. I would love to get the new MFH Ferrari 250 GTO.
  10. It wouldn't take much work to turn this into a sedan delivery.
  11. Looking good, great color. There is a guy in town that actually owns a roadster in this color and a black coupe.. nice to be filthy rich.
  12. Thanks for the pic. Sure looks like McLaren orange.
  13. Where can you find the teaser photo?
  14. I was hoping they would be releasing a Huracan.
  15. I guess thats the same reason why they keep releasing the old Tri-5 Chevies when the new tools are so much better.
  16. That looks like the original SWC WIllys box art. I thought they would mothball the original kit after the new tool was release a few years ago.
  17. I am not a Ford fan, but I like the Del Rio. I see this one around town and I got to have this kit when it comes out.
  18. Thought so given the full roll cage of bracing surrounding the body. Thanks for the info.
  19. Keith charges $12 per sheet.
  20. I have yet to build my kit. How sturdy is the body after removing all the bracing? Will there be a chance of breakage during sanding and painting?
  21. I had similar issues with brake fluid. I had more issues with the surface turning waxy and you are able to scrape off the top detail layer. Once the plastic dried it became brittle. I have switched to Purple Power or 99% isopropyl alcohol (this stuff removed the paint on the amt pre-painted pro shop kits), keep a tub of both and neither has an effect on plastic or resin. Purple Power can be found almost everywhere, I get mine at Walmart. Wear rubber gloves as stated above when using Purple Power, it will have an effect on your skin (try it and find out what happens, its not permanent).
  22. Duh! I didn't even think to look at the side marker lights. Good to know all the lights will fit. Always wanted to do a Corvair. When I was a couple years old my parents had a turbo-charged convertible and a 4-carb hardtop, I think both were '65s. There is also a turbo-charged convertible sitting in the field down the road from me, owner will never sell it, it will rot away to nothing ... so sad.
  23. I have one of these in my stash somewhere, been a while since I seen it. I remember it was missing either a taillight or headlight, but I could never find a replacement, Modelhaus doesn't reproduce the lights. Anyone know what year this one was? How does it differ from the '69 kit?
