  1. Thats the one. Thanks
  2. I remember there being either a sticky topic or something with directions on making a photography booth out of white foam board. Does anyone have the link? Or did I see this on another forum?
  3. Do a search on Ebay Motors? There was some very nice 55 Nomads on there recently. Sometimes you will find an auction with over 50 photos showing the car inside and out. Excellent source for research, for instance I am working on a 69 Super Bee and have collected over 1500 photos off Ebay over the last year showing examples of every color, interior combination and engine choice. Hope this helps.
  4. Here is my list '64 Chevelle '63 Corvette '55 Nomad '57 Nomad '67-68 Camaro '56 Chevy Hardtop '68 Nova '70-72 Nova
  5. I would suggest Canadian Tire also, they have great deals on compressors every few months. Find one you like and ask if it is going on sale soon. I bought 2 from there each is still going strong years later.
  6. Just my luck, my Charger 500 has the regular grille in it. I just checked the Daytona kit and it also has the regular grille in it also. I may check Modelhaus. Has anyone ever tried fitting the original 1968 Coronet grille in the Charger?
  7. Does anyone know of a resin Charger 500 Grille to fit the Revell 1969 Charger? Or a 1968 Coronet Grille that fits? I was going to try the old MPC Charger 500 grille, but after finally opening the kit after all these years, I find it has a normal Charger front grille and not the 500 grille.
  8. Try Keith Marks he may have the seat decals you need, even if it is not listed on his site email him, as he may have them. He may also enlarge one of his Camaro sets for 1/12 if you need different stripes. mofobow@hotmail.com or www.fotki.com/mofobow
  9. Thanks Tom, I will keep an eye out for it.
  10. What I meant was what line of Duplicolor paint? Touchup paint (if so, what code, year, make, model, etc)? One of duplicolor specialty or customs series of paint? I can't find it on any duplicolor rack.
  11. Looks great, beautiful color. What is this Duplicolor Orange Mist? I have seen many references to it, but I cannot find it anywhere.
  12. Is R&D Unique still around? They have a great set of u-joints, just add some tubing to complete them.
  13. Thanks David, That's it, totally awesome build. Thanks
  14. Might be, not sure, can't find the thread. Thanks
  15. I have the original Hawiian somewhere, don't recall if it was originally Revell. Maybe its a reissue, but I have heard nothing about this.
  16. Does anyone know the name and url of one of the other model forums that is dedicated to large scale? I was following a build of a scratchbuilt brass Model T race car. I lost the bookmark and can't find the site again.
  17. Good stuff, I used some a few years ago and was going to suggest it.
  18. I have 10 years and $15,000 in my 1962 Nova convertible and no end in sight. I would not bother if either car is a 4 door, be different it was a pair of '64 Imapalas then one could be used as a parts car. Make sure all the trim is complete, some is impossible to find. It took 15 years to find the handle for the rear sliding windows for my Uncle's '65 Chevelle 2-door wagon. My neighbor is currently restoring a 1929 Chev for next to nothing, but this car was mint and 100% complete.
  19. Great start on the Vega, I am sure it will turn out great. Yellow is a nice color choice if you go with it or perhaps hugger orange. If that motor is too big, here is a suggestion. My cousin built a Vega a few years back with a turbo charged Buick Grand National V6, wild little car till a drunk hit him and totalled the car.
  20. I can only comment on the picture shown here, since I havn't found the kit yet. The box art pictures show a small block rad support. The small block had a metal plate holding the rad while the big block had metal tabs and a rubber flap holding the rad. The rad support and heater box (small block hoses exit motor side of the heater box while big block exit through the fender side of the box) are the 2 items missed when cloning a big block, dead give away when some says the have a real big block Nova. Mike
  21. I have a '62 Nova ragtop, but it is buried in the driveway under about 3 feet of snow. How about trying to modify an uptop from a '65 Mustang, they are similair in shape if I remember right. I thought the revell/monogram '65 mustang came with an uptop or did it???
  22. Well, I contacted the new guy through his eBay account. The response I received was basically old outstanding orders were not his problem. I did however receive my order a few weeks ago (originally placed in Feb) from the original owners.
  23. Robert, I noticed you are from Williams Lake. I was living in Kamloops a few years back, so conditions would be similar. Back then I used the Dupli-color sprays (not the big full size cans) from Canadian Tire. I had better results in the winter than in summer. I would warm the can in hot water, then right after I finished painting I put the painted body in the oven on lowest setting (lucky to have an extra stove). I would let it bake for an hour or so. Need to be careful since each oven may have a hotter low setting.
  24. Thank You Dave, The headlights arrived in the mail today. Very much appreciated.
  25. Thanks Bob, I will keep an eye out for the Revell kit or try to find one of those extras from the Fujimi kit. Mike
