  1. Had a problem with the new filament. The vacuum bag had a hole which lead to a high humidity inside and therefore made huge printing problems. I put the filament in my dryer for a couple of hours, now it seems to work! In the meantime I finished the trailer wheels!
  2. At least I wouldn't have to improve my surfaces! ?
  3. Really nice Video! Wouldn't that be a nice build? A truck graveyard? Maybe something for a diorama?
  4. No problem. I´ll take a look at them in the morning! (CET)
  5. Sure, send me drawings with details and measures and I'll send you the stl If you have a slicer or the gcode! I'll send you pictures of the 3D designs first so you can see if it's what you expect!
  6. Anytime guys! Always willing to help if I can! I can learn so much from all of you, why not Help my way?
  7. Thanks! I got my filament supplies today so the show can go on! ?
  8. By the way, did I mention that this is a very nice build to be? As you can see in my recent thread the 352 is one of my favourites!

  11. Hi Ron, thanks for the explanation of the Alcoa rims! Didn't want to misuse your threads for my learning lesson. Hope you didn't mind! If you give me the exact measures of the rims you want I'd be happy to design them for you! I could then send you the gcode file for your printer! Generally I would need a sketch with the exact measures of inner and outer diameters, ...! What ever is neccessary to make an exact 3D drawing! Rims are meanwhile Not a problem anymore! It's a serious offer! Think about it! ?
  12. Question: since I'm not as aquainted with the rim types concerning their names, what exactly is an Alcoa rim? I've probably seen them lots a times but never knew what they were called! How about designing and printing them?
  13. Little trailer mock up! The part you see in the background is the rear part of the trailer box! Here's a close up! Ran out of filament, so I have to wait for new supplies before I continue printing the rest!
  14. I´ve got a question to all fans of Fire Engines out there: I know this is probably the wrong place but I know some of you guys build fire engines and I need some help. My daughter´s boyfriend is a fireman and I´d like to make him a nice Christmas present. I want to build this fire truck for him: It´s a 1973 1000-Series American La France. Is there anyone out there who has more information, pictures from all sides or blueprints and details about this vehicle? Thanks in advance if anyone knows more about this truck! (Hope I get this done before Christmas!)
  15. Thanks very much Jeff! I'm honored of your high opinion, especially coming from a truck specialist like you! Thanks to all of you for your positive input and for tuning into my builds! It gives me confidence to keep designing more and to improve my build quality!
  16. I can only agree! Awesome! I had built an oilfield rig too but it's nothing like this! Guess I lack the knowledge of details on these rigs! It's on page 8 in this WIP (5* General) if you're interested but absolutely far from what you're doing!
  17. I'll post the whole rig in "Under Glass" when the trailer is finished! This is the floor of the trailer! The landing gear was a test print from the Big Nasty build. Had to adjust it a bit but now it fits.
  18. How's this? ? I guess the tractor is finished now!
  19. Just didn't want you to think I don't like the build! I love what you're doing with it and this one's gonna be another jewel!
  20. No misunderstanings I hope! I'm sure they were great Trucks, I just never liked the front design of the LTL9000. The Louisville I like though. Doesn't look as aggressive as the big brother! It's a matter of taste of course and no offense to anyone who likes this truck. What you're doing with it is still fascinating and I'll keep watching!
  21. Wow, thanks Gary! I might Just find a future project in there!
  22. To tell the truth, the LTL was never one of my favourites but you make even that look so good that I enjoy watching this! I'll stay with you and keep watching!
  23. You bet I will, Jeff! There might be a use for it in my next project! ?
  24. Nice idea! Maybe I'll try that out! Thanks!
