  1. These will be the chosen ones! The inner rims are my "standard" printed rims including hubs, the outside rims are the classic AMT chromed rims. Tires are the soft rubber Revell ones from kits like the Black Magic PB. I order those directly from Revell, which belongs to Carrera now and moved to Austria! Got 30 pcs of them a while ago. Will need them for the trailer! Of course not all of them but 12 + 2 for the spares!
  2. I decided to use different rims! I snapped off the plastic axles, drilled holes and cut 2mm brass rods to length!
  3. Yes, I probably will. But as I said, first the show case needs to be built. Otherwise no more space! The Pete already had a parking space on the shelf. ? The trailer hast to wait! Sorry!
  4. Good job with the rig! Looks very realistic! ?
  5. Oh my God! Doesn't sound funny at all! Hope he didn't get hurt? Was that a common problem of those trucks?
  6. The tank is printed. The ends and the support brackets will follow!
  7. Looking great Gary! When it's finished we'll have to put our beer trucks together and see how much goes inside! Keep going! Can't wait to see more!
  8. Here's some pics of the new parts for the Pete! The sleeper. The fit of the roof hast to be improved! There are still rests of support structure material in between. I printed the roof with sort of a collar to make it slip onto the sleeper walls. When that's gone it'll fit! These are the sleeper parts. And this is the tank in printing progress: Also here the support structures need to be tanken off. The ends will be next.
  9. Hey Jeff, I'd do the same for you Buddy! ?
  10. I agree with Jeff! That is looking so good! Glad the tach-o-graphs came out well. Designing such small parts is a bit odd since you can't put much detail in them even though they look huge on your screen. You tend to forget what size they will be! Anyway, this build is gonna be Wow!
  11. Thank you Steve! That's one of the advantages of printing, the chassis is always straight! Maybe AMT should start putting printed parts into the kits?
  12. Thanks Steve! This one was Long before I started printing. I hadn't even thought of that back then. But you're right! I guess it could be done, even if the cab is not easy to design.
  13. That's what it was guys! The camper is now history. Hope you'll like the idea of the tanker the way I'll build it! ?
  14. Yes, I know I have to fix that. Maybe I'll use selfmade wheels and other tires! The tires on this one are so stiff that they won't fit on the outside of the rims.
  15. Thanks! No fifth wheel on this one! The tank goes right on the frame! Might make a three axle tank trailer. But only if I get my show case done!
  16. The sleeper is printed! The tank is in progress!
  17. That is one beautiful dash! I'm almost ashamed of the ones I've done! Keep going! This is gonna be some treasure!
  18. Interesting approach! Hope it turns out as you expect! I'll keep watching!
  19. Thanks! Yes, I saw your thread. Good work! Thought I'd share mine since there are quite a few of these in different scales on several benches! I didn't bother to hide the gaps between the cab halves! You seem to be doing a really good job at closing all gaps and making a nice truck out of this kit! Keep going!
  20. Thanks guys! I'm quite satisfied with the colors too. Thought a two tone with a separating stripe might lighten it up a bit! And yes, it is a Freightliner! Always liked 'em!
  21. Hi everyone, since there are so many Freightliner cabovers in this Forum I thought I´d join in and show mine. Nothing special. I didn´t bother to improve any AMT errors or hide gaps. It was I think of the first truck builds, next to my Marmon Conventional, I did after about 25 years or so. The side steps aren´t put together very well and the weathering attempts weren´t very successful. Still I´m not ashamed of it but I have done better builds. Hope you enjoy the pics. Feedback is also welcome! You all know the box! Thanks for dropping in!
  22. You're doing a great job. Considering it's your first big rig you have a great knowledge of details! I built that one too in a quite simple version of a long cab three axle tractor. No improvements of AMT's errors or anything. Gaps between cab parts included! It was one of my first truck kits after about 25 years or so. Yours is turning out much more professional already! Keep going!
  23. Great job Jeff! That weathering Looks perfect! So does the leaking engine! There's still lots to learn from you guys! Thanks for each lesson!
  24. Wow, Just Like Jeffs Pete-engine your Plow has to be an original projected down to size! There's no other explanation! Awesome job!
  25. Awesome! What a beautiful cockpit! That's something I still have to work on! The tach-o-graphs will be designed this weekend! Hope they come out worthy!
