Solved !!! The wire was slightly bend, causing loss of tension on the doors. The wire should be perfectly right. It took some time, and care not to cause metal fatigue, but finally it gives the right tension to keep the doors closed, or to get them opened easily. British precision in the seventies... Thanks for the reactions !

Yes, I know what you mean. I did try, no difference...

I'm restoring a diecast Corgi car. I stripped and removed the paint. But when reinstalling the doors, they are hanging loose, they don't keep opened or closed. It must have something to do with that coil spring, shaped as an iron wire. But I can't figure it out... Someone ??

For a moment I thought this was a real workshop picture... -
I've never seen that van in de tv-series, something I seem to have missed. Cool van I must admit, worked out well. Apart from this, I have a question. Does anyone know the type of the helicopter? I' m looking to build one to combine with the Ferrari.

A technical question...

Thank you all for the reactions. I already thought it should be a diesel engine. And these have a quiet complicated fuel system. I can move on with that. -

Recently, I managed to purchase a cutaway engine model, used in schools for technical lessons. The gear wheels on the back side had many broken teeth. So I got them made 3D-printed. You will also notice that the piston is missing ; I contacted some local bike- and lawnmower workshops if they would have a matching one. Most of you will also understand it explains the principle of a four-stroke engine. But some things on the right side of the engine display do I not understand. Clearly, the little light on top, in the circle shaped chamber, figures the ignition of the fuel. But is that a spark plug right from it ? Or should it represent an injection, what means it is a diesel engine ? And what is the function of the little cam shaft right below. It's on the same axle that moves the outlet valve. Someone who can explain the system in the T-shaped tube on the right ??? Thanks anyway !

In Belgium, Polish people have a reputation of very skilled craftsmen. Here's why ! -
Black and white pictures, an unusual approach. But this way fades away some details what makes it looking more real. A great idea Ken ! My opinion...

I never heard of the brand Imai. You didn't try to build it with the delivered motor ? Special choice of colour, but ik works out very well !
-
Funny idea ! But I wonder how it would drive in reality ?? Your Smart looks VERY good to me !!!

Who's the pilot ? This might be the car that started the F1 career of Michael Schumacher in Franchorcamps... -
That's a really ugly car ! And for that reason, it is a nice build.?
-
Realistic looking, the next level !!! Only that little blue towel spoils the idea...? But it's a masterpiece.

I've made an attempt on painting figures. They may be used later for a diorama. The dog is an MB figure. The lady and man are resin figures from no brand, bought for a few euro's on a model show. The lady had originally flat shoes. I cut away to give her heels and a more elegant look. Funny job but eyes and faces are quite stressful. Any tips from a specialist.?

Well, that's a real old-timer. Very nice detailed, especially on 1/32.

Marvellous ! The real shiny glass and body finish !!! On the pictures it looks like a real car, and I'm not easy with compliments...
