  1. Nice work. Never thought of using the camper on the 55 Chevy.
  2. Cool show! Thanks for sharing.
  3. Nice clean build. Good job.
  4. A lot of nice builds. Thanks for sharing!
  5. Cool beater build. Good job weathering. The bungee cord holding the hood shut is a nice touch.
  6. I just bought a resin kit from Steve for the first time last week. It's a good kit. He answers emails promptly and you can pay via Paypal. I would definitely do business with him again.
  7. Nice build.
  8. Last week I was driving home in my 2014 Chevy Impala when I see up ahead a 1958 Chevy Impala coupe in the lane next to me. It took a few minutes to catch up and pull along side the 1958 Impala. I wanted to see the current generation Impala next to the first Impala. Pretty cool!
  9. Pretty neat. Good job making all of the parts from different kits work well together.
  10. Cool Bel air. Nice color combo.
  11. It came out nice.
  12. Pretty sharp. Good job detailing the engine and interior.
  13. Cool. I am going to have to drop by soon.
  14. I learned this technique from Art Anderson years ago from the online forum of the other magazine and used it on an AMT 1965 Pontiac Grand Prix with chrome headlights. I detailed the headlights by coating them with 5 minute epoxy glue. I mixed a small batch on a piece of cardboard and coated each headlight with the glue using a toothpick. I had work fast because after two minutes the glue becomes tacky and stringy and you then risk getting glue strings on the non headlight areas of the part when you transfer it with the toothpick from the cardboard to the headlight. I would recommend that you mask with tape the non headlight areas of the chrome part. After two minutes I would mix a new batch. Each batch would be good for one or two headlights. This technique gives the headlights a decent depth that is better than chrome. It is not as good as a clear headlight lens but it is better than nothing. I would recommend practicing on a spare part before trying this technique.
  15. Thanks for the picture. I was thinking of converting AMT's 1923 Model T delivery van into a hearse.
  16. I went to the Hobby Lobby in Morgan Hill on 3/3/18 and all of the model car kits on clearance were sold out which is unusual for this store. It takes a while for clearance kits to sell out. I guess they were priced to sell.
  17. Looks good so far. I am currently building the same kit. I plan on placing a diecast Shasta trailer behind it.
  18. I went to the show and saw the car. Pretty cool. Too bad my camera's battery charge ran out and I couldn't take any pictures.
  19. I was not able to find one at Hobby Lobby but fortunately I was able to pick up a green Shasta at a car show a couple of weeks ago. It is pretty awesome model. At $30.00, it is way cheaper than Modelhaus Shasta kits on ebay and way better detailed. I plan on wood graining the wood panels, adding curtains and changing the wheels and tires.
  20. Cool Suburban. Good work on the engine and interior. I am about to start this kit. Hopefully it comes out as nice as yours.
  21. Nice build. Nice to see a Phaeton posted here.
  22. Very nice. Classic color combo.
  23. Cool Lincoln. The interior blue contrasts well with the body color.
  24. Excellent show! A lot of beautiful builds. Can't wait for next year.
