What cars interest you in resin 1/25
drodg replied to 5.0man's topic in Car Aftermarket / Resin / 3D Printed
I would certainly like a 68 Cougar GT-E -
I should have one finished in the next couple weeks. I think it is a good idea. BTW these two look great.

When I had an AAR back in about 2000 I remember something like that. Mine was bowed a bit on the left side but it wasn't terrible.

`70 Plymouth Cuda "AAR" 340 + 6 pack-Revell
drodg replied to 69NovaYenko's topic in Car Kit News & Reviews
I do believe the AAR package came standard with the 15" rally wheels. It would be nice to have good steelies for other versions. -
Looking very good so far

This is kind of an old thread but I am interested also in a transkit. Btw I had an AAR Cuda and it had a warped hood. It was bright red.

Beautiful and I bought the 72 vette to use the luggage rack for a future 70 Cuda build. Great job and colors

looks very nice. You never see these finished.

I do know the esteem thing when it comes to mistakes like this. I get so frustrated with myself when something like this happens. It is going to happen to all of us and you obviously have great building skills so you will be able repair it. I think with sanding and using primer and building up coats of paint you can get it looking pretty good again.

Anyone make a resin '68 Ranchero?
drodg replied to JTalmage's topic in Truck Aftermarket / Resin / 3D Printed
Jeff do you have a 1968 Mercury Cougar GT-E on that list? I hope.... -
I would imagine! I have built numerous 1/43 kits of f1 cars. I have multiple Tameo and Meri kits. They are a little harder to build these days with 50 year old+ eyes! I have only built one Tamiya f1 kit over the years. It did go together well. Great builds.

They look great. I love F1. I am kind of by myself as far as fans go in the Midwest.

Brings back some great memories from watching the show as a kid. Keep up the good work.

After building the 55 Chrysler 300 last year I look forward to any Moebius release. I have wanted to build a true 1965 Mercury Cyclone for years and I can say the same for the 1965 Satellite. The 55 Chrysler went together about as well as any plastic kit I have built. Thanks again Dave

I had that kit in resin and I must have sold it never thinking I would build it. That is a beautiful body.
-
I did a preliminary body fit with the interior and chassis yesterday. Btw the radiator and the front panel seem to be a real tight fit! I should get some more BMF done this week, the glass and the interior mounted to the body. I will post pictures. Thanks everyone.

Randy it looks good.

John I have used self etching primer for about eight years now. I had used other primers and I was having a problem with some plastics crazing (sp?) on me so a friend of mine who did body work suggested self etching primer. I have used it on resin and plastic with absolutely no issues. I use mostly lacquer but this Cuda is enamel and both paints seem fine. I really have never experienced color bleed but I cannot remember like painting a red plastic kit and priming and trying to paint a lighter color. So I am not sure how good it is as a barrier for color bleed. Thanks everyone again for your encouragement.

Thanks. With the weather I should have time to work on it.

I haven't posted pictures in a few weeks on the progress of my B5 Cuda. I finally got back to working on it this last week after coming to a standstill with the holidays. The car is going well and I am pretty happy with the paint as I continue to add Bare Metal Foil and probably do some more polishing on the paint. I am using Scale Finishes enamel with a clear coat of Testors laquer clear.
