  1. Looks good. I think I would spend some time coloring the side markers and I think a set of license plate decals would be a good addition. I would like to see another shot of the grill. Great job.
  2. I will be interested in watching this build. I have been wanting to build a 72 with Missing Link's conversion for a few years. I want a non bulge hood but not sure where you find one for the 71 kit. I think your Charger is a Topper Pkg?
  3. Thanks Ron. I haven't started on the kit yet but I will be within the next few weeks. I haven't seen one posted here for a build (Motor City Resin) so I will post my pictures as I go along. I normally don't post many pictures as I build my kits but I think with the 66 Barracuda I will. Thanks again.
  4. So true and that is why when I can I still use a rattle can.
  5. Thanks Dave
  6. I know I bought the Piranha kit and had a Hobby Lobby 40% discount coupon so that did help ease the price. I really wasn't interested in the kit but really wanted the tires. I would hope that AMT would do more releases of their special striped tires in a separate set.
  7. After Ron Hamilton's recommendation I purchased the Piranha Super Spy Car for the Goodyear Blue Streak Tires and they fit perfectly thanks. Here is a picture of a wheel from the Motor City Resin 66 Barracuda Formula S kit with the tires.
  8. Okay thanks everyone.
  9. Beautiful model...
  10. I am finishing up my 1968 Roadrunner kit within the week. (I hope) anyhow is there a thread on this sight on how to take good model car pictures? I really stink at it and I do have a couple good cameras. I am really bad with my phone. Anyhow before I do my Under Glass for my Roadrunner I was looking for some help.. Thanks
  11. Looks good and that makes three of us working on 68 Roadrunners......
  12. As you know on my post I am building one also. I am looking forward to your build and this is a great kit to get back into it again! It is a pretty good kit at not having to fiddle with much.
  13. Nice builds
  14. Looks very good.
  15. The Lego VW camper is my grandson's and my project.... fun. He is seven.
  16. I saw a 1:1 car online that looked good so I thought I would replicate it. The RR is going together pretty well and it has been a pretty fun build. I have kind of struggled with the paint with orange peel but I think my airbrush was laying the paint on too dry etc. I have spent a little bit of time sanding and sanding and sanding... Lol. When I finish it I will use a camera not my phone to take some pictures "Under Glass" thanks everyone.
  17. I also need to spend a little more time on sharpening up the bare metal foil.
  18. Nice job. The Johan body is so nice and accurate.
  19. I am hoping to get my 68 Roadrunner wrapped up this week. I have added Keith Mark's decals for the rear panel and blacked out the hood. I am experimenting with a 1/64" tape stripe and I have added rocker moldings to the car. I am pretty close to finishing. The paint is MCW Avocado green. I am done with the grill but not totally happy with it and that is probably the weakest part of the kit in my opinion. I have basically drilled out most of the headlights and added lenses from an AMT 71 Charger kit. It looks better but I am not exactly thrilled with it. Anyhow I hope to wrap it up in the next week depending on my work schedule.
  20. That is so true. I can hear me now. Yes honey I need to spend 200+ dollars on a model kit. That works well for me......
  21. Nice build. I love the 67 GTX
  22. Yeah it is 1/6. It is probably the nicest CB750 kit though.
  23. The Tamiya kit is way nice but way expensive.....
  24. Thanks for the photos. I don't have to now and you are taking much better pictures than me.
