  1. No worries, Harry...I figured as much about the chain... We actually had to put the A/C on in the house for a short while (for sake of my wife's health) due to the temperature and humidity. We have had to put the furnace on 3 or 4 nights so far...not bad.
  2. Looks great, Dave...Love the whitewalls!
  3. DW screaming like a girl...too funny!! Search it on YouTube, it is worth it!
  4. I miss what used to be Saturday Morning Cartoons. Turn on the TV at 8am and watch nothing but cartoons until noon! Bugs and the gang, Jetsons, Flintstones, Johnny Quest, Chipmunks, Underdog, Wacky Racers...those were cartoons...plus the Supermarionation shows like Thunderbirds and another one I can't remember the name of (Hey, I'm getting old...)...these were the staples of Saturday Morning Cartoons. I can't get into too many of the newer cartoons. Some I feel have gone too far. That is my opinion and views on things...remember, I'm a product of simpler times...I'm getting old!!
  5. It comes down to the growing season being shorter up here (angle of the Earth vs the Sun etc)...we've also had a couple of frosts and the crops are already in from the fields...unusually warm and sunny weather this weekend for October though, which is nice. The colours of the leaves are spectacular in the sunshine!

    '66 Batmobile

    Thanks, Paul...Thanks, Derrick!
  7. I'm liking it so far! Those coil-overs look awesome, as does the dash!
  8. Wow, you are working this one! EYEGORE must have got you the extra-strength vitamins!! Absolutely fantastic work, Doc...thanks for sharing the technique. I gotta find me a couple of rust and gunk projects!! That really won't be difficult being that I live in the rust belt!!

    '66 Batmobile

Thanks, George! It's a great kit for anyone that has ever wanted a 1/25 scale TV Batmobile to put on their shelf!
  10. Also posted in the Batcave CBP thread... Polar Lights snap kit Batmobile...built box-stock, just finished it last night. Body, wheel centre spinners and the "Dynamic Duo" are pre-painted. Detail painted interior and chassis. BMF on the canopies. Drilled out the missile tubes. Fun build of one of my long time favourite TV vehicles that I've waited over 40 years to build!( I have the glue kit at my LHS that I'll pick up next week, plus I already have the 1/32 Aurora re-issue yet to build) Makes a good companion for my last build (shown in 3rd picture below)! Enjoy...please offer comments and questions! Thanks for looking! There are more pictures available here.
  11. Yup, Thanksgiving weekend...in Canada. Hope everyone has a nice long weekend...we've got pleasantly above normal temperatures for the weekend with sunshine...nice break from our usual fall fare! So, Happy Thanksgiving!!
  12. I had to go look while reading your first post...cool...and a quick look at your progress and wow...you're nailing it and making it your own, Doc! Keep it going!! Hope you got your vitamins...if not, better send EYEGORE for some STAT! I may have to watch for a Type II cab to use for a similar rail...
  13. Semi-gloss black, if you are looking for votes!! Looks good so far!
  14. Romell...any updates? I'm starting to suffer withdrawal!
  15. I was pleasantly surprised that the Polar Lights snap kit '66 Batmobile had 2 of each of the small dash decals on the decal sheet in case you messed one up, as well as three different licence plates...also that the decals were water slide and not peel and stick. Nice.
  16. Scale pressurized tires...I know there are a bunch of real issues with this as the rubber would have to be about a fragile as a balloon...still, I think it would be cool!!
  17. Interesting. I always thought that AV8SC was what NASCAR should aspire to...they look more like the street car, more road courses, that kind of thing...yet, over there you guys think it should be more like NASCAR...I understand the limits of a two make series, but there are several series that are one make...for example, Porsche Cup. Highlights the driver more than the car. I haven't watched a AV8SC race since the cable company moved SPEED up to the higher cable package, so will have to see if I can find it online. I'd love to have a Falcon Ute, but I don't see Ford bringing that over to Canada! F150 is just too big now and I think they are about to end Ranger production. No market for car-based pickups unfortunately and it seems the small pickup segment is gone too.
  18. Awesome progress! Very nice!
  19. I've been in the hobby since I was baout 5, so about 43 years...Whatever it is worth, it is cheaper than therapy! A lot more fun, too!
  20. Good progress...use what works for you works for me!! Updated Hemi Under Glass sounds good. I agree the Deora has aged well. I did not know that it won teh Riddler Award...thanks for that!!
  21. Put my pre-order in with my LHS for one of these!
  22. This is what I'm referring to...Oddjob driving, from Goldfinger...
  23. Or a cubed Lincoln in the back...
  24. I recall being amazed at a 66 Fairlane or 67 comet build that had working lights...maybe had turn signals that actuated by the column mounted switch, but had an ignition key, and the fan and belts turned when the key was turned. Add to that the speed change to the fan when you pushed the accelerator pedal...anyone else recall such a beast or was I dreaming?
