  1. Looks good so far, Nick. The mechanics are great...where are they from? I need to 'hire' a few at my shop. No worries, I know your guys are loyal!
  2. Grabber Blue looks great on the model and on the 1:1!!
  3. THAT just is simply not fair!! Too bad about the taxi scale... Would love to see a modern transit bus in 1/24...our city has 3 Alexander Dennis Enviro 500s, and recently ordered 75 more. Love the fact they did a 1/24 model of the older DD! Things are looking up!
  4. Nice! Cool interior.
  5. It's fun little corner we got going on here! '67 was the last year for wide 5 and the "towel-bar" bumpers and the first year for 12 volt electrics (upright headlights). I will use 66 and earlier fenders and headlights (6v) with 12 v bulbs to give it a back-dated look for the Herbie look. Sounds like a mighty cool list of parts there to accomplish your goal and vision!! Would love to see pictures when it's done. Well, my Whislter Mustang has some braggin' rights...2nd place in Out of the Box class yesterday across the river in Gatineau QC at the AMRO show. There were some nice builds there...here's the album that I took. Gotta get pics again on the SVO - interior, chassis and body are united, wheels & tires on...just needs headlights, taillights and plates attached without messing up the paint!! I'll get you caught up soon!
  6. The '32 Jalopy was inspired by an article by Drew...the '57 was a glue bomb repurposed for Saturday Night race track duties.
  7. Bradley-In my area, summer is much too short, too! I have a 1:1 in my garage ('67 Beetle Herbie replica) that has been stalled due to lack of funds, so I understand the desire to install a $4,000 pile of parts!! Not to mention a cold garage unless it is insulated and heated. I hope you get done what you want to on the GT. Your list of scale projects is long! I'm looking forward to following along when you do get to them!! Thanks for the comments on my build...progress is progress and I'm nearing the end. A couple more trips to the bench should finish this one.
  8. Here are my progress pictures...coming near the end! Interior - now carpeted with embossing powder (Martha Stuart stuff from Michael's) Engine (Hmm...flash reveals I need to touch up the aluminium paint on the intake...). I used the decals from the recent re-release. Chassis, interior Come on, guys...I'm hoping it is just a summertime thing...get back to those Foxes! Chassis...you can see the taillights and headlight assemblies.
  9. Hey, that would be fine by me, Bradley!
  10. Would love a Sportwagon!
  11. Got a bit more work done...embossing powder for carpet, engine nearly finished with plug wires...I remembered to take the camera down to the basement and did take some pictures...cameras still down there...I promise to post them when I remember to bring the camera upstairs!
  12. Looks great!

    67 GTX

    Very nice build! Well done!
  14. Nice work! I see the driver had a couple 'soda pops' along the way! Nice work on the weathering and the entire diorama!
  15. In So Cal you are in a great location to find a 1:1 '57...keep your eyes on www.thesamba.com. There's a search function that is good at weeding through the vast listings!
  16. Too bad about the stars...any chance they'll lay down more as it dries??If not...still, looks totally kewl...looking forward to the hauler, too!! Great job!!
  17. Nice chassis!! This is moving along nicely!!
  18. It shouldn't. Put a small bit of WD-40 on a rag and try it in a small area.
  19. WD-40 works great to take off tape residue - then you need to remove the WD-40...soap and warm water usually works for me.
  20. Being a VW Beetle and a Herbie fan, I like this one!
  21. Nice bench and thanks for sharing your in progress work! I'd be a bit concerned about that ladder hung up over the workbench though!!
  22. Nice colour!!
  23. Looks great, Joe!!
  24. Cool...
